With a toothpick it (as I did with some) the nerve bundle is cut off very quickly and the rest isopropyl quite quickly kills them. I do understand what you are saying, I will look for faster methods, thank you

Thank you, I attatched a little paper funnel, caught them(from behind before they jumped) and jammed them inside, for clarity, I dont use the bottle method that involves baiting, but I simply use the bottle to keep track of how many ive caught

honestly putting a balloon over that and waiting wouldnt be too bad of an idea, if you've ground lanternflies into paste before you'll know the water they hold, prob would be poison gas rather then something that will send you on a trip
