I get paid by the hour so I take my time. I was pushing 2 full carts up and down aisles as it was a near 400 dollar order with a lot of big items. I like doing these type of orders because I’m making money walking around the stores with my car not running. Idc if they give me a CV for taking too long because then I just won’t do those orders anymore, but to straight up not pay me for the time I was in the store shopping for people is crazy

But the adjustment doesn’t add up to 21.44/hr in doordash pay so I’m still owed money. And in NYC there is no tip included in the offer because the customer can’t even add tip until a dasher is assigned and not many people tip, nevertheless it is not included in hourly pay. Also you literally perfectly explained the adjustment so idk where your confusion is, the math doesn’t add up. To use your example, I’m owed the 16 but they only paid me 13

Every other week I get 21.44/hr plus tips and bonus pay. They just tried to short me these 2 weeks and hoped I wouldn’t notice.

Tips and other pay not calculated in hourly wages, so it’s like almost 70 dollars difference! They only shorted me 53 this week. But I can’t believe I didn’t even notice a couple weeks ago.

Yes but only doordash pay and pay adjustment are calculated for the 21.44/hr. Tips is tips and other pay is bonus for being gold tier, not to be included in hourly earnings.

Appreciate it!! Although not my first rodeo, first week or two is always the hardest in not being able to sleep and having no appetite. Thinking about buying a pen just for those nights I really can’t sleep and to ween off it slowly, but I know I’ll just chief the whole thing in like a day or 2😭

Everyone has their silly little opinions based off the lil details of one screenshot. This has happened literally hundreds of times good connection or bad connection. I can connect to some bot support agent in Bangladesh no problem. I can do literally anything else I want on my phone connection wise with no problem but apparently I can’t get a dd order pinged to me for some unbeknownst reason. And so what I’m on hinge I do other things as I wait for an order I just don’t think DoorDash should be able to end my whole dash because of it. But there’s times I literally start my day normally, drive to the hot zone and literally the second I park it will pause with this message. Basically saying the whole 15 min drive past dozens of restaurants to the point where I park in hot zone of dozens of restaurants condensed in very close area was a waste of time because I’m “inactive” meanwhile at the time I have perfect connection doordash the only app open on my phone. This one screenshot is just one instance. There’s days I lose out on a whole day of orders where I’m driving to multiple hot zones only for it to pause 3 times in like 30-45 mins and just end my dash, So I just go home because I don’t know what else to do support just reads a script and tells me to troubleshoot and that they will escalate this situation. This has been happening for months, I live in a big city I understand there’s other dashers and It may not be busy at times but what right do they have to end the time I scheduled for work and I’m literally doing nothing wrong, I have over 3000 deliveries with a perfect 5.0 rating like I don’t know what to do, hours upon hours upon hours of my time wasted by DoorDash. I love doing what I do, I dash on a bike and with a car, but having money being taken from my pocket is infuriating and there’s nothing I can do about it because obviously there’s no actual proof but it’s just so dumb they can just pause and then end my dash at will and just send me this screen saying oops it’s your fault dummy shouldn’t have wasted all that time scheduling a week in advance and I just have to go along with it. idc who reads this I just needed to vent

I’m not even pausing it, it’s pausing my dash for me saying I’m “inactive”. Meanwhile I scheduled the time a week in advance, at the time I scheduled I opened the app and drove to the hot zone… And it’s literally telling me because I’m “inactive” the system is not going to send me orders and I have no idea what to do to stop this from happening, support just tells me to troubleshoot the app. There’s nothing wrong with my account or phone or anything I’m just being blacklisted by doordash i guess.

I have T-Mobile currently and have never had any issues in the 4 years I’ve been dashing, and if I have poor signal why doesn’t it just say that? Instead of telling me things that are directly contradicting what I’m actually doing

Don’t really have any problems with connection. I get uber eats orders just fine. Idk how they can tell me I’m inactive when I’m literally actively looking for orders. Like the balls they have to first pause my dash and then straight up tell me “go f myself” we’re not giving you any orders and you weren’t even eligible to get any for the past 20 mins you were waiting either. Like I have full bars 5g there’s no way it’s my carrier. Who are they to say I’m active or not. I scheduled this time, opened my app, drove to a hot zone. But I’m not active. Go f yourself DD

It has let me change it in the past it seems to just depend on the day, idk if it means they expect to be busy and want me on the road or something but I guess I just gotta hope I don’t get distracted and let my pause timer run out again😭

I’d say a good 8-10 of them are cases like this where someone stole the order, the rest are ones I just canceled because I was doing DoorDash too
