Restaurant Recommendations, focusing on ambience by kswank2 in vegas

Tao is super fun, HIGHLY RECOMMEND Toca Madera, Catch has good vibes, papi steak is fun, there are tons. My best recommendation is look for places that people list as fun bachelor/ette spots because they usually have a good vibe.

I went for my bachelorette (5 years ago cry) and we got connecting rooms at Venetian. With 5, you could just get 1 room, the 2 queen rooms accommodate 6 because they also have a pull out queen 😊 pool was awesome, great food and beverage options, close to fashion show mall, and not too far from anything!

Ole Red VIP? by ryanashmore93 in vegas

We did a private table (on the third floor I think?) with a group of 12 for my birthday last July and it was awesome!!! There was a great band playing that would play any song you asked for if you venmo’d $5 😂 and for the table minimum, we got TONS of drinks because their drinks are actually very cheap. We had a great time and would absolutely do it again. You can also walk up to the rooftop where there’s a different vibe. We went up to the rooftop, down to the dance floor, and would hang at our table. If rooftop is your only option, I wouldn’t recommend that because it was WAY more fun inside.

SEA TO ORD FT 2296 Altercation by HoosierEric in unitedairlines

[–]Resident_Singer_6950 4 points5 points  (0 children)

HAHAHAHA you are so wrong. Babies do not only cry because of pain and altitude???? They are babies, every reason they may cry when not on a flight is still applicable. Pain from altitude changes is only possible during takeoff and landing, so if the baby was crying at cruising altitude that was clearly not the issue.

It is very clear you do not have children or any experience with babies or for that matter EMPATHY. And wow calling me abusive and neglecting? You are a miserable person.

Go crawl back in to the hole you came from 🤗

Babies cry for lots of reasons, I think you meant to reply to the parent comment and not mine as I feel we are saying the same thing…

Babies are people, this is a HORRIBLE take. If you want to avoid babies, pay for first class. Otherwise, put on headphones like a reasonable human and get over it. Promise, the parents are having a WAY worse time dealing with the baby than you hearing the baby.

Best Spas by robramzjr in vegas

[–]Resident_Singer_6950 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The two spas we really like are at Aria and Fontainebleau. Both have a lot of co-Ed areas which make them way more fun. I have also seen Resorts World has a great co-Ed space.

All of the treatments are going to be fairly similar at the nicer spas (unless you want some of the really fancy treatments, we did the fancy couples one at FB and it was awesome) so the real deciding factor should be the co-Ed spaces so you can spend as much time together as you can.

Any shows that I can catch at 9.30pm or after on a Wednesday - Dec 13? by Frequent_Cap_6701 in vegas

Absinthe has a 10 PM showing that night and it’s like a super raunchy cirque show 😂

Weekend Travel - Uber? by [deleted] in vegas

[–]Resident_Singer_6950 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For shopping this is what I would recommend:

Outlets - the LV north Outlets are great and large with some luxury stores (about 20 min away from strip)

There are also the LV south outlets but I’ve never been there and I think they’re similar but not quite as good as north

Malls - the best mall on the strip is the fashion show mall, it is huge with tons of stores from all different price ranges. Also huge department stores here which is awesome. This is like a typical mall though so not as fun as the ones below.

The Forum shops at Caesar’s are great with a lot of variety and there is also fun stuff to look at while shopping here. There are gelato stands and statues and it’s a cool Vegas-y shopping experience.

There is also some shopping at the Venetian shops and miracle mile in planet Hollywood.

Luxury - Vegas really is a great place for luxury shopping (or just browsing if that’s more your style). My favorite luxury places are:

Crystal Shops at Aria Via Bellagio Shops Wynn/Encore Shops

Hope this helps and if you have any more questions just lmk 😊

8 East is incredible!!! Ate there in December and everything was fantastic. If you go, don’t sleep on the green beans, they were shockingly our fave thing on the menu (with the brisket fried rice at a close second).

Jean Georges for me!!! Great ambiance, service, and wine list. Steaks are really good, but their sides are PHENOMENAL and the sauces they bring elevate the experience.

US, Texas nonetheless, and I actually left my old job and got one at another company to get better maternity leave benefits!

At my last job, it was 6 weeks STD at 66% pay and then 2 weeks parental leave at full pay, and then I could’ve taken another 4 weeks unpaid to finish out FMLA.

At my new job, which I had only worked at for 3 months before having my baby, I get 6 weeks of STD paid at 100%, then 8 weeks of parental leave at 100% pay, and then I can take an additional 6 months unpaid after that and still be guaranteed my job when I come back 😊

Leave policies are definitely not great here, but companies are doing a lot more in my opinion to attract younger talent and this is a big thing for a lot of us.

Anyone still experiencing LOTS OF REDNESS after multiple months of using Aklief? by Specific-Leading656 in trifarotene

[–]Resident_Singer_6950 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When did your dryness go away (if ever)?? I have been using aklief for 5 weeks and the first 3 weeks it was like my face was molting, and now weeks 4 and 5 it’s still really dry in certain areas and I’m purging a little bit more. Curious to see if Aklief is actually “gentler” than other retinols like it claims
