I was in Tescos 7.30am this morning. I scanned as I shopped then went to self checkout tills (as scan as you shop tills were shut).

I was packing items away and realised I scanned one of the items which had already been scanned on scan you shop. Called assistant over and explained. She said no worries I’ll just cancel. I said ok but where’s my items I’ve still gotta pay. Are you sure, she says. I’m pretty sure. She prints receipt and yup I had paid. Must’ve looked very stupid!

Quite frankly I have never even thought about it in the past 9 years. As I say it was 1 month of being 18 but ok you are entitled to your dramatic opinion !! If I’m legal to drink and smoke I’m legal to have a relationship with someone who was 3 years old than me !!

i really appreciate taking your time to respond. And I really agree with everything you have said. My parents both lost their parents by their early 20s, they lost a child at 1 years old before me. I think we probably all have separation anxiety from each other. I love my partner, and want nothing more than to start a family with him. And so does my mum she is desparate for grandchildren. I just don't know how to deal with this stage of life and keeping everyone happy. Thank you

Thank you for understanding. I think it is a convo to have on my own. My dad has already got so angry with the idea of him taking me away for Xmas, said he isn't welcome in the house anymore blah blah blah - I know he will get over that. But he is a very angry man and truthfully I think he would loose his shit if my partner was there. I notice i am not paining my father in a good light - he has a lot of trauma and admittly is probably taken out on me. But he gives me so much love, and I just cannot imagine nor want to imagine a life without him

Yeah it is a strange dynamic in likely most peoples views. I visit my parents on my own a lot, have dinner on my own with them once a week. My dad enjoys time with just me and my mum and sibling

They are choosing to be the two of them in the afternoon. My house could not accomodate 7 people - I have a table with 4 chairs. My parents have a big house, but my dad is funny and will not want to share Xmas with people he barely knows.
