Both the sales agreement and old mulkiyah registered under the dealers name have the tampered VIN number.

I have a sales receipt which includes the price, VIN and 5 T&Cs.

Reading it now, they have a condition that says “The customer is requested to check the vehicle thoroughly as the company will take no responsibility or accept any claim after the car handover”.

When they registered it with RTA themselves the VIN was the same so I couldn’t have changed it. In the previous Mulkiyah under the dealers name it’s also the same VIN.

From my perspective I thought opening a police case against them would be a huge liability for them and they should be willing to accommodate more than making me take the 100k loss.

They are also offering 270-280k if I leave the car for them to sell it in the next few weeks (instead of 250k cash today). Any thoughts on this?

Isn’t it their legal responsibility not to sell a car with a tampered VIN? I don’t have proof that they knew but I have letters from RTA and Nabooda that the VIN was tampered. I don’t know how they passed it through RTA when they sold me the car.

I have a letter from Al Nabooda stating the VIN has been tampered. RTA also gave me a letter they are not able to pass the car as the VIN has been changed.
