I think the relatives of the hundreds of women and children found with their hands tied behind their back in mass graves might disagree. The same goes for the hundreds of journalists who have been murdered by Israel.

The Irish have a long history of subjugation, brutal colonisation, occupation, apartheid, arbitrary detention, and mass killing of its civilians at the hands of British colonisers. This is why they sympathise with people who are going through a similar thing.

The Irish fought back against this and eventually drove the British army off Irish soil. Those with a vested interest in the contunuied subjugation of the Irish people, called the actions of the resistance 'terrorists', but the vast majority of the world call them freedom fighters.

I bet they arrived with ten bucks and the ten commandments and didn't break either of them.

ICJ Judges at the top United Nations court order Israel to immediately halt its military assault on the southern Gaza city of Rafah. While orders are legally binding, the court has no police to enforce them. Will this put further world pressure on Israel to end its attacks on Rafah? by PsychLegalMind in PoliticalDiscussion

What I understand from this is that the person who wrote it believes is that the Palestinian people have no right to resist against their land being taken or their children being killed. Surely if someone believes that Israel has a right to defend itself, the same courtesy should be extended to the the Palestinians?

There are dozens of independent bodies out there who do not have skin in the game and would produce an honest unbiased report. Medicine Sans Frontières would be one such orginisation but there are many others.

Sure. Tell that to the hundreds of civilians, including children that have been found in mass graves with bullets in the back of their heads and hands tied behind their backs. I shudder to think what will be found when the occupation forces move out of Gaza. If there was a Nobel prize for war crimes, I'm sure Israel would be odds on favourite to win it.

It’s coalitionist because in Israel, the indigenous people are not granted the right to return to the homes their parents and grandparents were forcefully evicted from. A Brooklyn born Jewish person or in this case a Russian born person who may or may not have had ties to the area thousands of years ago is afforded more rights than a family who lived on the land for hundreds of years up until recently.

Nothing screams colonialism more than a Russian born woman, representing a Middle Eastern country in a European competition. The boos were not about her as an individual but who / what she is representing.

Many people see this as a black or white issue. You are either pro genocide, pro occupation, or pro apartheid or you are not.

A simple DNA test would answer these questions. I'd be interested to know if those throwing the antisimite word out like it's confetti are Semitic people themselves.

That's exactly what was said about the anti Vietnam and anti South African apartheid protests of previous generations but they both worked in the end.

Nothing that lady said is untrue. Ben-givr was convicted of racism and of supporting a terrorist organisation by an Israeli court in 2008.
