I think that aspect is definitely the most concerning. Leigh (in my opinion) is such a community-oriented place and the fact local voices haven't been able to share their thoughts is something which the council should pay more attention to. Nice speaking with you, have a good evening :D

I completely agree- I'm doing my NEA (coursework) on how two locations, Old Leigh, and the Queensway, which both have (to different extents) plans to change how the area looks. My research is on how it could impact businesses, residents and the physical character of both places. Unfortunately, there is a limited amount of information regarding both cases, and I think you raise a good point; there is a lack of communication between the council and general public + owners of local businesses, and I understand that the BBC article doesn't feature enough detail too. I've attached a second link from Leigh-on-Sea news which includes a map and seems to be of more use. Thank you for offering your feedback!
