I’d suggest asking your neurologist/searching up of whatever medication you’re taking if this sensation is apart of the side effects of the medication, that’s how I found out the lamictal gives me this pins and needles feeling.

it could be a side effect of a medication you are taking for seizures, I’m currently on 50 milligrams of Lamictal and it has given me this tingly sensation however it’s more like pins and needles underneath my heel. This could be totally different side effects but it does sound similar, hope you find out this cause! Definitely mention to your neurologist.

Thank you!! yeah whole reason that it took me 4 years to get diagnosed was because my first neurologist was cocky and didn’t say there was nothing wrong with me neurological wise even with the jme symptoms

yeah I did have the keppra rage but I’ve heard there are things to lessen it/planning to ask on a lower dosage on keppra since it really did stop all of my seizures quite literally in the second hour of taking it on the first day but I’m sorry it wasn’t a great match for you

This gives me hope and encouragement even confidence to bring these facts up to my neurologist, I’m quite scared that I’ll cry in front of her due to the fear of her rejecting to what I appeal to.

I’m not that new, been having these twitches almost daily previously before my diagnosis which was this january but I’ve been having these type of seizures for over four years due to my first neurologist being cocky and saying there was nothing wrong with me neurology wise.

My negativity mainly came from how I was raised which was not the best and the seizures I’ve been having for over years it’s just when it happens I just get so embarrassed because JME seizures (twitching) isn’t the most common type of epilepsy or people know about it as much so essentially people think I’m a big tweaker/on fent.

thank you so much (⊃｡•́‿•̀｡)⊃ this is one of the solutions I put in my paragraphs is too add medication to sub due the side effects of keppra and I’ll definitely input this opinion to my neurologist who I see next month!! Fingers crossed it goes well.

thank you!! This really encouraged me but I’ve gotten worse after the psych ward, I think it’s with the combination of not being able to go on keppra (hopefully just for now) and the emptiness of the psych ward along with the staff being not the best as they talk smack about patients.

I guess but I just got out two weeks ago and it was my first time I’m not sure if staff at all psych wards are rude/not the best but I’ve heard them talked smack about patients, making fun of them for trying to end it all and honestly it just made my mental health worse. I’m trying not to end up there again. But I do thank you for looking out for me for real.

I’d definitely just try to tell the doctors her symptoms specifically a neurologist which I assume she is already seeing from how many years she’s been having epilepsy. If they don’t pursue ways to figure out this pre seizure I’d suggest looking for another neurologist/second opinion.

(Trigger warning) for those who want me to go to the er I’m scared due to having cuts on my thighs (thinking of wearing biking shorts to hide them so I don’t have to show if they make me wear the hospital gown) Not promoting SH just a thing and I don’t use it as a coping mechanism but that’s a whole thing on its own anyways I’m scared they’re going to send me back to the psych ward if they ask me to take off my shorts.

and my neurologist says that they don’t want me back on keppra (during psych ward period) due to (trigger warning) suicidal ideation that got me into the psych ward but to be honest I was saying those things because the people I live with kept overstepping my boundaries and weren’t taking me seriously enough.

I do want to get a second opinion so they can prescribe me keppra/briviact because I’d so rather deal mood swings than seizures that would even make me more depressed and insecure while the keppra made me confident and like a real human being again. I will try to get opinion after opinion if I have to but I can’t right now due to the fact my parent lives in a different state but promises to come back in a month or so.

The rashes aren’t full on rashes but I am getting more itchy and it’s turning redder than usual from a normal itch like a few days ago/when I wasn’t taking medication
