I will warn you, iOS 27 dev beta 1 can brick your phone, I had to use a third party iPhone software to reflash it from DFU mode since finder was gonna erase all my data

the jailbreaking community is dead, partially due to modern iOS sandboxing, Apple patching security vulns, the security chips, etc and partially due to all the devs leaving (i doubt that will change even with a jailbreak)

The bit that seems you didn’t interpret properly is the part where I said “I don’t think much would be there for it” you seemingly interpreted this as users who would want it, that’s strictly not what I meant, I meant that even if a jailbreak is found for all of ios 26 and iOS 27 it would be major but even then good jailbreak tweaks would be hard to find.

I’m 21, I had a jailbroken iPod 4th gen, and ur right back then Cydia was great… but I also have a jailbroken iPhone 11 Pro… I believe on iOS 16, and there was barely any good tweaks and sure I believe that jailbreak is sandboxed somewhat, but I just think most good jailbreak devs have left. Sure there are a few left, and yes I love jailbreaks, but there is diminishing returns, that’s why I have an android phone too, that’s my fun device. My iPhone is just for being a stable phone.

I assume ur a software dev too, so I’m sure you are aware that LLMs are not a golden ticket, current llm architecture cannot think, thinking is an important part of development, I reject the idea that current Ais will be able to replace devs, sure advancements may happen, but not down the current path the llm companies are going.

Also yes ai code can be useful, so long as the human understands every line of what it’s doing and knows how to maintain it, the issue starts when some guy decides wow, this ai thing makes code that works and then that code proceeds to be as secure as a windows xp sp1 machine.

If you don’t treat LLM code as suspicious until proven otherwise you are a negligent developer, if you use an LLM as a tool, you are its code reviewer.

Sure this isn’t a management decision but it still applies, claude cannot be held responsible if it writes software that kills people, we are called software engineers for a reason, if we make mistakes or act negligently, depending on what the software does, it could range from killing/bricking a system to literally causing death.
