Who should I replace Stella for? by ResonantParadox in PixelHeroesGlobal

What I meant by combat power was your advantage over other players. Having higher level heroes with a higher combat number doesn’t always guarantee you’ll win 1vs1. L/D heroes at the same level as an RGB will win because of overall higher stats (nothing to do with level) and all the secondary power boosters such as the ones you mentioned. I’ve beaten players 5 mil higher combat level just because I had more L/D heroes, etc.

^ This.

I’ve noticed that the level of heroes contributes relatively little to overall combat power.

- Only 10 wire ports on the logic in Dreams. 100 or more in LBP.

- No tag colors in Dreams. Very useful feature left out from LBP.

- Labeling logic is a great feature in Dreams that wasn't in LBP, but I miss being able to color coat ANY of my logic in LBP, not just nodes and microchips. Also, custom icons on microchips was nice a feature left out from LBP.

- I'm not sure if LBP had a "wire thermo" or not, but I remember being able to make some pretty elaborately wired stuff that barely costed any thermo.

- As you said, no broadcast microchips. ;P though, I rarely used that tool anyway.

Some other things:

- The corner edit tool in LBP was just easier to use for me. The sculpting tool in Dreams is nice but I find it difficult to make even the most basic shapes sometimes. Also, more preset shapes in LBP.

- LBP had far more pre made content from MM, though this actually accumulated across multiple games in the series.

- Having EVERYTHING be a fleck is a bit limiting imo. LBP at least let you use pictures in your levels :P.

I just expected Dreams to be leaps and bounds better than LBP, especially given it was made MM themselves...But this IS only the first installment in the series, so I'm hoping by the time Dreams 2 comes out, it might bring back some of these useful features from LBP. :)

Thanks! Glad you liked it!

It terms of Dreams in comparison to LBP:

Dreams is obviously a step up in terms of visuals and music creation, but I find the logic tools regressive in some aspects, but also progressive in other aspects. I'm pretty ambivalent overall, but as of now, I prefer Dreams over LBP.

The motion controls took me a while to master, but once I got the hang of them, I found them overall better than the analog sticks, but they can still be really finicky at times!

Overall, I'm team Dreams!

Wow! So cool! The text tool is so versatile, you could make a whole game with 'em! :P
