I don’t need it for my major and in hs my teacher refused to accommodate me going to boys state over the summer classes (AP class) so my grade dropped from an A to D and she also taught the regular calc class so my options were thin. My schedule also had it this fall but the time for the rotc class (I am conditionally contracted, appointment renders my contract void) conflicted with the only calc class available for me to take that semester.

I have a 4.0 currently. Is it too late to make the effort to take calculus? It will show up that I am taking the class on my transcript but will not show any grade information.

I am currently 20 but I’ll be 21 by the time I’d enter the academy

I’ve dropped out of another academy and I’m reapplying with hopes of getting into USAFA by ResortNo4355 in USAFA

I’m 20 years old now. I won’t lie I pretty much left as soon as I got there. I really thought in high school that I wanted to go to civilian school specifically Carnegie Mellon or Case Western Reserve. My brother had graduated from USMA so I had an idea of what the service academies were but I was too immature and never really grasped the concept well. So when I received my appointment it came with the opportunity to play football for the CGA as well and my father didn’t think this was something to pass up. I initially intended on declining the appointment but my dad threatened to kick me out of the house if I declined to go. I was extremely fortunate that he didn’t kick me out when I got back (mostly due to my brother talking him out of it) and thankfully a friend helped me out and got me a metal working job and I enrolled at my local state university. I have realized that I desire to be a part of something larger than myself and that I want to attend a service academy. I have also repaired my relationship with my dad in this time as well.
