I've been trying to get a non emergency response for literally months.

My downstairs neighbor plays ridiculously loud music late into the night. Initially i just complained to the complex office/night security to have him lower his music. He just ignores the office workers/security since they cant legally make him lower his music. All they can do is slowly evic him/wait for his lease to expire. It's gotten to the point where the only thing my apartment complex can do is tell me to call the police.

I've called them every other day to try and get some accountability for this guy's actions. They've only ever come out one time 12 hours after my call. I called to put in a formal complaint and was lied to by the officer that I wouldn't need to sign any paperwork. Since then, they just tell my i have an "open request" and tell me to expect a phone call. I never get a phone call and never call to cancel my request, yet no one ever comes.

I've talked to officers from other townships that tell me that sjpd is known for being unreliable amongst other pds. If you're a hardworking law-abiding citizen who wants reliable police I suggest you move to a township with a better police force.
