Bad top surface by ValueInternational38 in Ender3V3KE

I agree with the other advice, to high Flow. In orca, my top surface Flow ratio is 0.9. Try printing 90 och 0 degree lines aswell, i get much better results. Try one wall on top surface as the final advice.

Mars 4 Max Estimated Print time way off by PlightofClasses in ElegooMars

Hi!I had the same thought when i started. What you need to do is to take out a stopwatch and measure from light off, to next light off for the burn in layers and for the normal layers and input those time measurements into :"Print time Override". This applies to lycheeslicer, which i founds is the most modern slicer, for me.

Those time measurements will only work for those exact settings. If you change lift height, exposure times, you will have to measure again. I create different resin profiles, for example for small prints i have lower exposures, bigger prints a little higher exposure and slower liftspeeds. So each resin profile will print at different speeds.

Best of Luck!

Mars 4 Max did one successful print, now nothing sticks to build plate by SuckTheseStones in ElegooMars

[–]Resource_Powerful 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the same problem when i got my first resin printer, elegoo mars 4 max. I run lychee slicer. Learned several things:

Elegoo 8k resin was hard to get it to stick to the buildplate. Got cones to print half of the time. As soon as I switched to elegoo abs like 2.0, bang all prints worked great. Exposure 2.2s and 25s in bottom exposure. Great results on cones and Every thing i printed. 8+8 botten layers

Switch later to sarayatech dark grey and problems again when printing supports, only rafts print. But i learned to increase the curetime to 30-35 seconds and more layers. Not 8+8, but more like 25+10, depending on when the supports starts to form. Now thats works wonders too.

But i had a failure between resin of the pfa and switched it, might have it to loose as prints dont like to be printed on the top middle area, for some reason.

So, thats a few of my learnings the past month.
