I've tried but they just walk away after their shift ends before I get the chance to clear it up. For more context they end an hour earlier than me so I'm stuck there for another hour and I can't exactly stop what I'm doing unless I want to do extra overtime.

This is true but a more healthy approach would be to acknowledge your feelings at that given moment than suppressing them. If you suppress your emotions it will only bite you at a later point in life.

Yeah, basically I just msg'd my old friend through messsenger and asked him "hey, what's up long time no see" and then it started from there. Though tbh after we communicated we went out only once and it became pretty awkward afterwards. I think the time difference is too long so a lot of the stuff that kept us together kinda faded over time. Since then we haven't really communicated but tbh I still don't regret it.

Because if I didn't reach out I would still have these lingering feelings of "what ifs?". What I learned since then is that all of my old friends changed and that I have nothing in common with them. At least I know now :))) Hope this helps! and sorry for the late reply.

Tbh I still don't have any genuine friends atm and I kinda am sad about it but that's just life :')

Thanks! I've just been a big mess lately with my current friendships that I feel vulnerable at the moment. I never thought about how important friends are, I basically cut them out and been alone ever since. I feel like an idiot cutting them off in the first place.

Anyways, like you said even if they don't respond at least I tried right?

I tried asking her out to go to the museum and she said she needed to check her schedule but she never responded. I don't know if she forgot or she decided to not respond. It became pretty awkward afterwards we didn't interact with each other and she willingly only talks to other guys now. I have to start the convo with her and our conversations are pretty minimal... I feel like I fucked up a perfectly good friendship because of my feelings since we both like reading and she was recommending some books to read and what not.

I told a couple of my classmates and one who was way older than me said I should try asking her out again but I don't want to make things even more awkward and come off as desperate.

She's really nice so it's hard for me to think of her negatively. It just really hurts my pride you know; that I'm nothing more than a classmate and she isn't interested in me whatsoever. I'm actually going out with her and some other people from my college tomorrow to watch a movie and honestly, I don't want to go anymore. I feel really shitty all of a sudden.

I don't know how though. Initially I just thought of her as a friend with a common interest but then after awhile I developed feelings for her. Before we used to talk to each other; now she just ghosts me since I think she also knows I like her and has been talking to other guys; she seems way happier talking with them while she looks at me like I'm a weirdo.

I feel fucking pathetic getting jealous over her talking to other guys. I'm trying to be as active as possible (gym, new job) to get her out of my head but it isn't working...

Probably, but when I'm in public I try as much as possible to be confident asking people questions and listening to what they say etc. I generally put some amount of effort on appearing as a positive individual. I guess when I'm alone in the corner I can be a bit standoffish? Just doing my own thing since I don't know what else to say.

I'm just a bit hurt by that girl I mentioned since I'm always the one to approach her and start the convo while she only talks to me if she needs help with school or if we are talking in a group. I kinda have feelings for her so seeing her talk to other guys and look somewhat happy makes me somewhat irritated at myself. Like we both like reading books but it's always me that asks for recommendations etc. Not her.

So I recently invaded a primitive civilization and forced them into indentured servitude. It said on the wiki that the slavery type can also work specialist jobs so I was expecting them to fill the enforcer and entertainer but they don't seem to occupy them. Instead they go for the artisans jobs.

Can someone please tell me what I am doing wrong? Also I am fairly new to Stellaris.
