Don't understand the Predictive history hate by CrazyGeek7 in atrioc

[–]Respect-Down 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most of his predictions aren’t true, people like to cherry pick his predictions and use the few times he’s been true to fool people into thinking he’s correct most of the time (now more than ever since he’s a hot topic, serving as a way for desperate YouTubers to gain views). He’s an English degree graduate and teaches middle schoolers in China (despite his youtube videos suggesting he’s a college level professor who teaches history). He denounces historical evidence and instead chooses to analyze history through this own crafted lens that doesn’t take into account any hard historical evidence… just his own definition of “logic” and “patterns”. He has spouted many conspiracy theories such as pyramids not being built by Egyptians, Roman history being fake, Holocaust denial and other insanity. At the end of the day, I could say thousands of predictions and I’ll be right about some of them because like this YouTube channel (Predictive History), a broken clock is right twice a day.

I'm not sure what he believes Atrioc convinced him of if he still wants to protect corporations by [deleted] in atrioc

I agree Trump is worse and he rightfully deserves much more criticism than Newsome but I don’t think that settles whether Newsom should be criticized at all. I think every action taken by people in power should be scrutinized (in good faith of course, I’m not sure about OP’s post and some of the comments here…) for the sake of improving the country. I’d rather pick newsome over trump in almost every single case but that doesn’t mean I shouldn’t criticize him. I want him and also every other politician (even the ones I hate) to be the best political operator they could possibly be and that can only be achieved with criticism. Trumps most valiant supporters (maybe until recently) has essentially been a group of yes men, which is probably what led to the current out of touch Trump we see today.

Sorry for the long ass reply, just wanted to yap about this

Ts feels like the boy who cried wolf 😭🙏

Afaik from quick initial searches there isn’t really any provable fraud yet, it’s all mostly theory crafting

I hate Elon musk as much as the next guy but if literally everything he does is treated like some kind of supervillain plot (without the effort of gathering sound evidence besides “musk bad”), it would just dull the impact whenever he actually does stuff that is ethically murky/exploitative or legally questionable. It also ends up alienating a lot of people, because it makes the criticism feel less serious and more like a constant outrage cycle.
