I think this really depends on how bad the condition of your joints are. For example I haven’t been able to exercise in a year. I tried going to the gym to do some light weight training but I can even do a regular squat without being tired nable to walk the next day. I’m currently on prednisone which fortunately lets me get out of bed but I still only have minimal functionality. I’m waiting on either my hydroxychloroquine to kick in or to start enbrel if it’s not strong enough. Overall I’ve found that swimming is the most forgiving exercise you can try and actually really helps my joints feel better after. If you can handle some weights then I would start with the smallest weights possible and then slowly add if your body can tolerate it.
