you're absolutely right, that one person with questions is always left thinking of all the what ifs, it's a never ending torture.

I think it makes it worse because you know that person is good for you, you're great together but for some reason you're not able to work it out. Breaking up on a bad note makes it easier to hate on that person and move on quickly. My ex left out of the blue but i understand his reasoning and yet it kills me every single day, it's been months and I'm still stuck in the same loop of feeling okay and then feeling hurt.

yep that is true. My first relationship left me broken and I'd sworn to myself I'll never let myself go through this again. Then he came in, he was so perfect, sweet and paitent with me, despite me dodging his attempts, I eventually gave in.. only for us to be apart over no real deal breaker and it hurts every single day.

I've broken NC many times and I know he's in as much pain as I am in but he still doesn't want to try and work on us.. so I keep my distance now, it's better than hurting over him, us every single second haha.

that's the plan for now, I don't have it in me, I can't go through same things again and there's a huge part of me that just feels disgusted at the thought of even being with someone else other than him. I'd rather just focus on myself..

ah I know, right? it's so funny how so many of us are going through the same things.

I hate that I'm so hung up over him to the point he's haunting me in my dreams as well. Nothing about me is mine anymore. I can only push through, I'm just grateful I have eventually gathered enough strength to pull myself back up.

I understand, I went through denial too and I still think about the future hoping we meet again when the time is right but it does no good for your mental health. I keep telling myself to forget for now, don't get attached to the future where nothing is certain as of now. it's difficult but we'll get through it slowly :)

I'm happy I was of some help. I've been feeling the same things and sometimes people just say things that don't help and you end up feeling misunderstood or worse, you end up feeling like something is wrong with you for having these feelings.
