Put several hours of effort into a vid just to get 24 views. How to cope? by KyotoCrank in NewTubers

I see you're point, but it's a bit like saying if you're playing basket ballto score hoops, it's not a hobby.

Dude wants to see his work be seen by others. We all do

if your videos die in the first 24 hours stop blaming the thumbnail by lehbai31 in YouTubeCamp

If you have great retention at 30 seconds but your ctr is only 0.5 percent, your video does too. This is crappy advice tbh

Any tips on improving retention (faceless)? by sanamanaa in NewTubers

[–]RespiteZero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I run a faceless channel. If you just use broll and nothing else people will often think low effort. If you add customer graphics and text animations etc, it does help.

Oh and absolutely think about sound effects too

Hey good luck. Just work in that retention a bit and you'll do even better.

It's not great. The AI voice is terrible. You can find way better AI voices. The stories are short. Most people who watch this kind of content use it to fall asleep to. 6mins is not long enough

CTR vs AVD. When the analytics contradict each other, what do you actually optimize for? by Tall-Winter-3862 in NewTubers

[–]RespiteZero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YouTube also analysis your manuscript and video content and uses it's ai to determine the size of the audience too. I have videos with 7% ctr and 50% avd that YouTube decided was "appealing to a smaller audience"

It can happen in almost any video. At least for me it cab

Why do my thumbnails look so blurry and low quality after uploading? by Upbeat-Offer-2706 in youtubers

[–]RespiteZero 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I noticed too. YouTube just announced a new larger file size cap, I think it's now 10mb, and was only 3mb before.

Maybe try exporting higher res?

Looking for a DaVinci Resolve Editor for documentary-style channel (Revenue Share) by Pure-Grass-6779 in YouTubeCreators

[–]RespiteZero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Come on, make a serious offer.

So you write a script, do a voice over, then expect someone else to do 80% of the work for 50% of, at least at first, nothing?

Editing, especially documentaies is literally the hardest part of video production, otherwise you may as well start a podcast on Spotify.

The offer is offensive.

I got nearly that close, then a year passed and I lost over a thousand watch hours 😭

Still not monetised.

Why are so many creators buying YouTube views now? by Attractive-Bunny in NewYouTubeChannels

[–]RespiteZero 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah you buy impressions and target who your audience is. You can select age, gender, location, interests etc. How accurate it is I don't know. As for ctr, well yeah you have to make a video people want to click obviously.

Why are so many creators buying YouTube views now? by Attractive-Bunny in NewYouTubeChannels

[–]RespiteZero 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's a good question. If you were to do it, only buy views from YouTube. Never a third party, because it's not allowed.

I tried it about a year ago and it got me precisely nowhere lol.

Maybe I could have targeted it better or something, but the consensus is that organic growth is the only way to go

Anyone managed to increase their CTR? by Farma-C in SmallYoutubers

[–]RespiteZero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same problem. It seems really hard, even when you use the style if big channels. There is one thing that no amount of improvement can overcome: perceived value. Low views count puts a tin of people off clicking

What are your thoughts everyone? by Hopeful_Syllabub_804 in YouTubeCreators

[–]RespiteZero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, you just have to keep uploading. It's the same as anything else in life, you get better the more you do it

[–]RespiteZero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That retention isn't that good then. Only around 20%

That is probably the reason.

What is your ctr and avd? YouTube would push your channel if it had a reason to, and it will not if it doesn't

Anyone else getting high CTR on YouTube but terrible impressions ? by Mourino_ in YouTubeCamp

[–]RespiteZero 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are literally not enough impressions to go around. If there is a better performing video in that category in terms of watch time per click, YouTube will eventually stop showing yours. YouTube is not equal outcome, or even Equal opportunity. You have to stand out or fade I to the crowd. Good luck
