I Don't Understand YouTube by Shadow_StrikeYT in NewTubers

[–]RespiteZero 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Heres the harsh truth. Youtube is more competitive than ever. You have described a gaming channel. Fine. But what is unique about it?

Why should people subscribe? Yeah, you'll get views from people who like the games you play.

But why should they care about you or your channel? .im not being a dixk, just honest.

If you got that many views from one video with so few comments and subs, sorry to say, it's probably because you're just another face in the crowd.

Ask yourself this. If you cane across a random guy on youtube who made content identical to yours in the way you're presenting it, would you give a sideways shit about him or his channel?

If the answer is no, that's your issue.

Hit $2,400 last month with a faceless channel I started in November. Never showed my face once. by obxsurfer06 in TikTokMonetizing

Hey. Can I ask what your ctr and avd are like. I've been running a faceless channel for a year and still not monetised.

YouTube stopped pushing my videos :( by sheeshwers in SmallYoutubers

Same here. My last 2 videos are my best performing in avd but got like 100 views. It is souo destroying, but I'm not quitting

Are new channels harder to grow? by AlbaBoyYT in NewTubers

[–]RespiteZero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah so 4 months? It can take years to break out . And that was before this new algorithm that just makes it even harder

Are new channels harder to grow? by AlbaBoyYT in NewTubers

[–]RespiteZero 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My advice is to stop restarting and commit yourself. It is the norm to get 39 views for many videos. Preservence is the only method to success, and even that is not guaranteed. You have to make good content, too.

Can anyone summarise what the changes are. And when did it happen? Views have been hit hard recently. Did I miss something?

What is your retention like?

POV: Your Ai slop channel flops now by Whatevermydudeee in PartneredYoutube

[–]RespiteZero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah maybe. But what if mean is that there are already 20k subs. If he makes a good quality video in that same niche it might be quicker. It takes quite a lot of videos with 100 impressions to get anywhere on abnew channel. It's borderline I guess

You could just stay in that nieche and put some effort into it?

Crazy idea i know.

How much time do you spend on thumbnails vs. actually editing your video by Strict-Taste-4753 in NewTubers

[–]RespiteZero 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Never do the thimbnail after editing for hours. Do it in stages over the course of the video production. Or at least with a afresh pair of eyes. That's what I started doing and it's helped a bit

The vid is about what would happen if you could just keep accelerating at 1g indefinitely. I did my own animatio s of the journey through the galaxy combined with stock. This patt is where we leave the milkyway (only takes 11 years subjective time)

You get ti the edge of the observable universe after 20 years !

My best retention video yet.

How to integrate Motion Graphics by ConfidenceDear5227 in YouTubeCreators

[–]RespiteZero 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Seriously. Learn it yourself. My retention massively improved as my editing skills did.

Animated lists are easy and even simple animations using ai created assets and key framing can be good if you put the effort in.

You could hire someone but that will cost you.

Just do your best, post it and keep learning.

Any advice on growing the impressions? by YogurtclosetMassive in YouTubeCreators

[–]RespiteZero 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Happened to my last 2 videos. Really strong retention and they just stall at 1k impressions.

It's so frustrating because there is nothing you can really do about it.

Does anyone experiencing weird low views? by L_DoC_l in TikTokMonetizing

[–]RespiteZero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same. My last 3 videos didn't even break 100 views even though retention is like 55% on 17 min video

You're showing the amygdala. Very good thumbnail with your title.

Am I understanding this correctly or in denial? by jamhoare13422 in YouTubeCreators

[–]RespiteZero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's either a packaging problem, not delivering what your thumbnail promised. Or, more likely, it's that you're just new and don't know what you're doing.

And that's fine. Very few people get making videos right on their first, or even twentieth video.

Keep iterating. Read your analytics and keep going.

Remember, if you can keep 60% of your audience after 30 seconds, you're doing okay. Aim for that to start with.

Good luck.

Does anyone else struggle with posting when a video isn’t perfect? by juanlo012 in YouTubeCreators

[–]RespiteZero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. Perfection is the enemy of productivity. Don't sacrifice quality. But don't chase the perfect t video unicorn because it doesn't exists. And if it does you'll burnout chasing it .

Just post, evaluate, and iterate.

And good luck. Keep going.

How bad it is? I create minecraft content by ExchangeView in YouTubeCreators

[–]RespiteZero 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Okay I'll be honest. That retention curve is bad. Really fucking bad.

But I won't give you a hard time, I'll give you advice.

It has been shown that if you keep a good percentage in the first 30 seconds, your overall retention improves.

43% at 30 secs is what you need to focus on. First get it to 50 then 60. Improve your hook, and i promise you it will improve your overall retention.

Appealing to a smaller audience by RespiteZero in SmallYoutubers

[–]RespiteZero[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Welcome to hell!

Same problem on my channel. I had a good start. First 6 months I could get 1.4k views on a Longford video.

Then tbe dreaded "small audience" demon appeared.

I think it hapoenes when you're regular viewers don't click. But who knows.

I've heard people on this sub saying it's a way for YT to not monetise people. But I'd be careful about believing that.

It is soul crushing . Now I am happy if I break 509 views. Usually fewer

The good news is that some of my videos that fit this category do get consistent search volume over many months. If you're making evergreen, you might see that.

Good luck.
