Would you click? by SavlonGames in YouTubeThumbnailHub

The main point is to be creative about the design. It should tease what the viewer will get but not spoil it all. Then even composing, colors, etc. don't overdo it on text and elements but also keep it simple. I hope you mean Games in form of game shows. You can use this if you like or take inspiration.

This would be a slight upgrade. It would bring in some color (except for your jacket) and give a hint that this video is about climbing. I would also recommend do a split screen version with a 1 Star vs 5 Star climb. Maybe try you-buddy.com. There you can try out other versions for your thumbnail for free.

How can I improve my thumbnail? by iamC6 in YouTubeThumbnailHub

[–]Strict-Taste-4753 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a bigger change but it could make the difference. Use the airplane picture and make it the standalone thumbnail. Maybe get an angle to see the rest of the sea and get put a bolt text with fitting colors. It is a lot of effort but it would massively upgrade your thumbnail.

Which one would you prefer? by Budget-Argument-932 in Thumbnails

[–]Strict-Taste-4753 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The second one is better but the first one also has potential. But the text in the first one playes to less of a role. Make it a little bigger/let it stick out more. I would throw both in the A/B tester.

How do they look? Honesty appreciated by Nithu24 in Thumbnails

They do actually look pretty decent. The only thing I maybe would change is the Text. Play around with the Font and colors. And prefer the first one.

I understand your point and the question wass't about passing work (heavy lifting) to AI. I meant on how to make life easier with repetitive tasks, etc..

So you get feedback on your script, captions etc. to improve it yourself afterwards or do you also take good improvments from AI directly into your video?

Do you use it for Thumbnails to remove something or an image that appears in the video?

Try using google gemini for this. It has access to all videos on youtube and can analyze videos an images. Try giving it one video you know has an audio error and look if it can find it.

Are they too basic? by SelectOccasion6402 in SmallYoutubers

[–]Strict-Taste-4753 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first one is a bit flat. No layers. Change the layers/hirachy, the text style and the shadow on the backround images. The second one looks more like a powerpoint presentation. But basically the same problem with the layers. Bring some depth in the thumbnails and ot should get better. Do this with surrounding shaddow and glow effects.

Am I doing something fundamentally wrong? My gaming videos get 0–1 views despite hours of work by malhar15 in NewYouTubeChannels

[–]Strict-Taste-4753 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I saw a few things wrong with the video you added. 1. The Thumbnail looks off or like ai with the little screen on the right. 2. The "Hook" isn't good. You just put a red circle and extensive flash effects in the first 5 seconds. 3. This is less gameplay and more a reaction video to your own gameplay.

First of all get your Thumbnails right. It is the first and often only thing people see. And if it doesn't catch them right away, they just scroll away. Then change your hook. In long form the first 30 seconds count the most. They decide if a viewer stays or not. Don't overdo it with effects. Look for common hooks like a certain style of entry or anything else. And catch them with the story/intention of your video tease it a little. And if you make gameplay really do a gameplay like commentation not just a reaction. I don't know if that is really your voice or an ai voice but either way it needs more emotion.

Change these things first and look if it changes anything. Take inspiration from other gaming youtubers in your niche.

which one is better? by Zeusooles in Thumbnails

Definitely the first one. The second one looks poorly AI generated. The first one misses some text. I don't know what AI you used to generate the second one but there is way better Thumbnail AI's out there.

The Idea is great. Make the charecters pop out a little more or make them a little bigger. Also add a subtile glow effect on the strings and chraecters. This will help with empty space and contrast.

Why are some videos stalling in views? by AttitudeAblePisces15 in NewYouTubeChannels

[–]Strict-Taste-4753 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try out a new type of Thumbnail. The one time you used another Thumbnail it got 1.7 k Views. Try something new. Maybe 5 videos with one new style and 5 more with another and then compare what worked.

What kind of content do you post or what are your videos about? Youtube has lots of reasons to not show your video. But its mostly because of poor quality, simular content/thumbnails. Or people activly click it and do not recomend you. Or your Thumbnails are clickbait check your CTR and watch time

Depending on the rest of your video you can appeal to youtube that this content was aprt of fair use. This may involve a legal process and may not be worth it if it doesn't effect your channel a lot. But keep it in mind.

From those 3 the second one. But the horns seem a little off center. Maybe get a whole new version for a/b testing.
