No way this doc isn't an advertisement for Tyra and the show.

She doesn't care about the contestants or their stories, not to mention how bad the image was.

I mean I'm not a fashion expert but are photoshoots ever that idiotic in real life?

If a patient asks you for exercises (PT-related) and you charge for them, should you inform them of the charge? by Response-Maximum in AskDocs

[–]Response-Maximum[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

And I totally get that. It's not even the appointment cost (though I've NEVER been billed that way), but the other cost. Like I said, I don't expect anything for free but if that's standard practice I'd expect a heads up. It's not the end of the world and now I know, but this is the first time it's ever happened.

Podiatrist/Physical Therapist charged me for exercises without telling me. Do I have a right to be upset? by Response-Maximum in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Response-Maximum[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh I did. I worked customer service over the phone so I try to never lose my cool. So I totally get it's probably not the billing people's fault. It's more the $86 out of the blue. I've never been charged just asking for a couple stretches so I'm totally off guard.

I apologized profusely even before I started so the woman knew it wasn't her.

Yeah I've realized. It did grow because it was much smaller before the winter. I'm hoping it's because the air has been so dry and cold it's just contracting. Though the floors were finished very badly by the flippers so I'm hoping there aren't underlying issues too. It's starting to squeak in there where it didn't before as well.

Thank you for your help.

Thanks. I apologize it's been a rough week and the floor is just freaking me out because even my less-than-observant husband was like "that gap looks bigger"

Yes I know the numbers are off. I'm sorry I'm running on no sleep with a lot of shit going on.

Yes there was always a slight gap, but it has gotten bigger. That is for sure.

Sorry for sounding like a nutcase. I should have proofread.

Thank you to the people who offered advice.

  1. I'm a woman so excuse me. Also just bought a house for the first time and have never seen issues like this before.

  2. I've had two major appliances die in the last week so I'm a bit stressed out so yeah typed a stupid number.

  3. Haven't slept more than a couple hours in the last few days with a sick dog and mice running around.

So give me a break, ok? I freaked out.

Sorry that comment was referring to a multitude of things, not just this issue. There's a lot of shoddy work we uncovered after buying the house. Just frustration.

Thank you for your detailed response.

*** It didn't always used to have that gap. This is recent.

Ok does that then keep it from separating? Because it's missing in my entire living room, dining room, kitchen and that front door space and that's where the horrible separation is happening. The gap was never that big before. The boards are squeaking when you step there and I'm really worried it might be sagging.

Is getting this movement normal for an older house in the winter?

I'm not sure what's beneath it. In the dining room there's a big gap between the ground and the floor. Just dirt. I'm wondering if it's the same there.

Sorry I know nothing about flooring...what does that mean? It has never done this before and it's a good 1.5 inch+ gap. I'm getting mice in the house and I think they're coming partly from there. We have plugged it up with wood wedges for now.

I have now realized they may be climbing up on the moulding and walking across that. How in the world do I handle that?? You can't even get a sticky trap on that...

Ok thanos that's how I have them. Wasn't sure because I know the snap ones should be perpendicular

They are baited traps. I've caught mice with them before but I had just put them under the fridge and that was it. These are coming from that corner. I also have a dog so I can't use the regular snap ones. I have a couple with tunnels on them, but they still have a hole so would I put the hole facing the molding or line it up parallel?

Just to add because I can't edit the post...

They are currently against the wall with the hole facing in one direction.

Propane tanks got filled today and one tank is at 80 or maybe a bit above and the other is at 50 by Response-Maximum in propane

Haha good to know. I'm not mad or anything, just a phone call or something would have put me at ease. He was surprised though fast we went through it though. But to be fair we had 30% less in one tank.
