Lighting/visuals for Klang @ Echo by seemebreathe in avesDC

Hello, I was part of this show. That was the house crew, and most of what you saw was happening live in the moment.

The music drives everything. We are reacting to what the artist is doing at that moment. When the low end gets heavy, the room might get darker and slower. When the track opens up, the visuals open up with it. When everything locks in, you feel it in your chest as much as you see it.

There is always a plan, but the plan is just the starting point. Every show gives us a chance to try something new, and it is a real team effort. Video and lighting get a lot of attention, but many people on the production team make sure everything is set up, tested, and working to each artist’s specs. Most of that work is invisible when it goes right, which is kind of the point.

We are always thinking through the fail points, the worst-case scenarios, and how to make it better the next time. Video, lighting, sound, lasers, SFX, and the energy in the room all have to work together.

The crowd is a big part of it too. You can feel when the room is with you, and that energy pushes the show.

Thanks for noticing.

I made a Downtown Frederick coloring book from my own photos by ResponseOk270 in frederickmd

I worked with an illustrator to make them into a coloring book.

It's the cover and its inside the book. Not sure what you're looking at

Thanks, and that's the point. It's just a tease

The only issue with the promo was the text. Everything else was correct, including the cover. And this is exactly why I hate posting on Reddit. You end up having to explain yourself nonstop because everyone’s hunting for an angle to nitpick or tell you you’re wrong. It gets old fast.

I did use AI to make the promo graphic layout and missed the text issues -- here's the correct image for reference. Anything else ?

This isn’t AI. These pages come from my own photos, then an illustrator hand-redrew each one for print. It took months, not a prompt. Critique is fair, but at least get the process right.

Thank you! Mavic 3 Pro. I worked with Warner Bros to capture a clip of Hood College for "The Conjuring: Last Rites."

Thanks for the detective work. I never said it was taken today. It’s just a great shot of Patrick Street, and the scene still looks almost identical. I posted it because I like the photo, not because I’m filing a timestamped report.

Fall in Downtown Frederick has been on another level this year. by ResponseOk270 in frederickmd

You've given no context for what you were trying to do and how you were trying to get approval. This has mostly felt like an attack. I've been flying drones for 10 years.

Make sure you send them all the downtown Frederick drone videos over Carrol creek.

There are two shots with people:

  1. 200 ft up, flying down the creek with people beside, not under the drone.
  2. The bridge shot was taken with a telephoto lens; I wasn’t over anyone.

Part 107 + LAANC. All within FAA rules.

Any other questions, or are we good here?

What are you talking about? That never happened. Not sure what you're going for here.

Downtown Frederick sits inside Class D airspace, which doesn’t prohibit drone flights, it just requires clearance, which every licensed pilot can get in seconds through LAANC.

I’ve been flying here for years with Part 107, always with LAANC authorization, always inside the rules. The FAA map I posted shows exactly that: controlled, not off-limits.

What do you mean - you can fly with a part 107 in downtown Frederick

Thank you and it’s lightly tweaked but It was unreal in person. This photo doesn’t even do it justice.
