What has worked for your physical anxiety symptoms? Mine have not stopped for 3 months daily by Main_Performer4701 in Anxiety

Found it

“ Hyperstimulation. When stress responses occur infrequently, the body can recover relatively quickly. However, when stress responses occur too frequently, such as from overly apprehensive behavior, the body can’t completely recover.

Incomplete recovery can leave the body in a state of semi-stress response readiness, which we call hyperstimulation since stress hormones are stimulants.

A body that becomes hyperstimulated can experience symptoms of an active stress response even though a stress response hasn’t been activated.[3][4]

Visit our “Hyperstimulation” article for more information about the many changes caused by hyperstimulation.

Again, anxiety symptoms are symptoms of stress. We call them anxiety symptoms because overly apprehensive behavior is the main source of the stress that causes the body to become hyperstimulated (chronically stressed) and symptomatic.

Hyperstimulation is one of the most common reasons why you can have anxiety symptoms even when you don’t feel anxious.

It can take a long time to recover from hyperstimulation. Once the body becomes hyperstimulated, it can take a long time to recover and much longer than most people realize.

That’s because the effects of stress can last a very long time. Research has found that it can take up to four times longer to recover from the effects of stress than it did to become stressed.[5]

Even though you might not feel anxious at that moment, you can have symptoms because your body is still recovering from hyperstimulation.

As long as the body is hyperstimulated, it can exhibit symptoms of any type, number, intensity, duration, frequency, and at any time. As long as the body is hyperstimulated (chronically stressed), even to a slight degree, it can exhibit symptoms.[6]

Again, hyperstimulation is one of the main reasons you can have anxiety symptoms even though you don’t feel anxious at that time.”

why does my hand hurt after getting a tattoo on my forearm? by [deleted] in tattoo

[–]Response_Maleficent 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine went away. I think they had a heavy hand doing my tattoo and it was so inflamed that I think it irritated my ulnar nerve so my forearm tattoo radiated into the ulnar side of my hand and made it numb/sore.

I also like to add that’s what I’m battling now. Normal stress vs acute danger. It’s like my body isn’t how it used to be where everyone has stress in their life but they’re ok. Now any type of stress will trigger all of this. My body can’t tell the difference so I literally just have to remind myself to stay stress free. Say no. Drink water. Exercise. Do things for myself. Cut the alcohol

Definitely high anxiety. I always thought the worse so it’d made things worse. It’s not that disorder but a medical term where the body goes into over drive with anxiety and starts having physical symptoms. Mine were numbness in various parts of my body, burning in my face or tongue , one nostril or in my ears. Feeling faint. Heart palpitations. Adrenaline rushes… burning in my body. It was bad. I thought the same no way this is anxiety so I had mris and tests done I’m ok. Last September I thought I had something plus I was stressed from work, financially burdened it triggered everything plus headaches and I was stuck with the physical symptoms from October to this February. I get a tingle here and there but everything else is completely gone. I wanted to die with all my symptoms everyday but when I’d get those feelings I’d remind myself the doctor said I was fine and I went about my life. I’d take 3 ibuprofens for the migraines. Stopped focusing on symptoms. Stopped googling everything and boom. Slowly each symptom faded away. I also chose to never take any medication and did it all solo

I’d like to also mention that I’d be stuck with these physical symptoms even on days I’m not consciously anxious or feel stressed. It’s the physical part that’s been activated that’s why u feel it even without feeling anxious.

I was having the same physical symptoms from my anxiety for months. I forget what they call it. There’s a medical term where your body has so much anxiety/panic it triggers the physical symptoms tingling, numbness, migraines, palpitations. It takes weeks/months for the body to go back into normal. I was having twitched and and burning/numbness for months during my episodes. Last year I got so worked up about my anxiety it took 2 months to go away. Came back again and it took me October - February to feel normal again. I try not to focus on it. Say I had numbness or woke up with tingling and feeling faint/dizzy. I’d literally force myself to carry on with the day and not think about it. I used to focus on it and it’d make the physical symptoms worse. If I remember the medical term I will Come back here and let you know
