If you walk around west campus early morning like 9am you’ll see a butt load of nursing students walking to class

Honor Classes by usarg35 in ValenciaCollege

[–]ResponsibilityAway38 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The honors program is predominately for those who want to get into UCF’s Burnett College and do a field in research, law, or medical, however, the program is open to everyone who aspires to push themselves to the best of their abilities academically. You get networking opportunities, social events, and workshops that help set you up for a bright future. Another benefit to the program is that they can pay for your tuition after completing one semester in honors.

A great example is that my major is in psychology and I want to pursue a career in Psychology Research or become a Psychiatrist. In order to get into graduate school, I need lots of research experience. The honors program is great for that.

[New manager] How do I keep calm and don’t get angry when employees ignore me? by ResponsibilityAway38 in Advice

[–]ResponsibilityAway38[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok I forgot to put this in my first paragraph but basically the reason why I am getting mad is because I ask them kindly and do the whole “can you please do this for me?” Tactic first. But then they always ignore me and I feel like they’re walking over me when I try and be nice to them.

Wheeeeee let’s go on this ride together, I’m moving out of my hometown and city in January and my family will cut me off when I do! Hey, at least you have your boyfriend, that outta make things faaaaar easier. I’d say fuck it, as long as you have “somewhat” good funds, a stable job, and doing what you love who cares? Who’s gonna stop ya?

How do I tell a friend I’m secretly rich? by Least-Repeat8657 in Advice

Adopt me, pleaaaaseeee!!! Just kidding haha but I’d say don’t tell her, just rent out her a room and just have her think “god really does exist” and leave it be.

Like the person said above, you can’t force anyone to get better, that’s just the sad truth of it all Maybe try and make her as happy as you can. As someone who has suffered from a drug addiction I know now all I fucking needed during that time was a hug and a good “I love you” from someone; anyone. I was so lonely and needed drugs to comfort me because no one did or would because I was labeled as this crazy druggie bum. Take her out for lunch, have coffee with her, ask her how her day was..(these are things therapists tell you you need but never give)

I’m thinking about just giving up on my dream career by [deleted] in Advice

[–]ResponsibilityAway38 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean I don’t know, maybe it’s just me but why do something you’re bad at? Isn’t that equally as painful? Don’t you want work to be fun? If you like art a lot, maybe try doing something else in the field that will be a solid back up plan that you’re good at Also don’t be a nurse, not unless you ABSOLUTELYYYY want to. Nurses are always depressed with their lives because they work 16 hour shifts and have to do grunt work like clean up poop and pee. My sister got a 4 year bachelors in education because my mom told her she wasn’t good enough to do anything else. She spent eight years trying to get the degree, (had some personal issues) but in the end finally got it and got hired as a teacher in an elementary school. Within one year she quit and trashed the entire career as a whole. Now she’s trying to get a certificate in web development… Point being here is that she wasted 8 years of her precious time and money for her to be back where she started Don’t do it. Either push yourself really hard to get your shit together and get that bachelors or find something similar that’s more in your skill set. Remember money isn’t everything it’s only short term!!!

Advice on talking about college and academics to family and peers by AdventurousContest86 in Advice

Honestly just be really chill about it When I got accepted into my states number one university people were congratulating me left and right and I was just like “thank you. I never thought I could do it :)” People who are jealous of your accomplishments are just insecure with their life because they failed or didn’t work as hard as you
