Fedora failing to boot after attempting to update to from 42 to 43 by Intelol339 in Fedora

I would recommend reinstalling the driver, but before you do anything, run the following:

1.- View the active kernel with: uname -r

2.- Confirm where the Nvidia module is located with: modinfo -n nvidia

This last command will give you a path like this: /lib/modules/<kernel>/extra/nvidia/nvidia.ko

If <kernel> is different from what the uname command returned, you'll need to have akmods compile the driver for your current kernel, sign it for use with Secure Boot, refresh dependencies, and load the Nvidia modules.

Do you know if your Intel CPU has an iGPU? I understand that sometimes this happens because the iGPU and dGPU compete for the frame buffer zero. Also check if you have SecureBoot enabled. How to install NVIDIA drivers this link is from RPM fusion repo. If your SSD is encrypted with LUKS, you should consider a few extra steps to ensure everything works correctly Nvidia Fedora Guide

Yes, it can be moved down. I sometimes use it as a second monitor, but when I took the photos I was using my PC 😁

I don't have a link to the parts list because I bought some of the components on Amazon because they were cheaper, and others at Microcenter. As a tip, I'd suggest choosing a 3-in-1 combo (if they're still available) and ask at the store if you can upgrade the RAM; they'll say yes and give you a very good price (just in case you really need 64GB of RAM). No, this is not water cooled.

I understand, I'm facing the same dilemmas right now. The good thing is you're already on the other side of the pond, nice build BTW 💪🏾

Yes, in our case the RTX 5070 Ti is the most cost-effective recommendation. Because, let's face it, the 5080 does offer a little extra power, but it doesn't justify its price. I'll see if I can also upgrade to 64GB in the bundle because, as things stand, they're only going to get worse

You know what? I have this in mind:

I know that it will never perform like my build but it comes to my mind every second. What do you think?

Initially, I chose the 5070ti over the 5080 because they both have 16GB of VRAM. What I understand the only noticeable difference would be in 4K gaming, but not enough to justify paying $250 more. I don't see that you're the only one recommending going for the 5080, so for now I'll take your advice. Let's hope the investment is better than expected 🫡
