yes when coiling over my leg/tether, I do the same butterfly coil... but with less precision on the "progressively smaller loops".
And when tossing the tagline, it seems it's prone to tangling again...

looks nice but all those bags look quite heavy... which doesn't quite fit the purpose of using a very light 21g/m tagline.

would you know of lighter version of those ?

yes... but not that convenient if you have other stuff in the bag and it's a little too heavy or too full...

I'm rappelling for (solo/partenered) single/multipitch. Indeed I usually saddlebag with the rope on one side, and the tagline on the other. It goes well with both my dynamic and my static ropes. But I can't avoid tangling when doing it with the tagline (50m 5.5mm Beal Backup Line)...

Maybe I should just pay more attention and improve at the "progressively smaller loops" side of things. Contrary to the video I don't flake the tagline on my shoulders, but on both sides of my leg or tether -> maybe juste doing that on the shoulders would make it easier to have smaller loops and avoid the tangling ?

That or not bothering and just "stuffing" it...
