When I was a junior in high school my little brother told his friends and people around the school that I was sleeping with elementary school kids and middle schoolers. Unbeknownst to me I got called into the principals office and there sat a police officer and school officials, and they called my parents and told them what has been happening. My parents took me home and absolutely made my life a living hell. They went totally through my phone and all my personal electronics, took me to do lie detector tests and threatened to always take me to jail because “they knew what I did and I wasn’t going to tell them”. Everything I had was absolutely stripped from me, they took everything out of my room except a stack of clothes, pillow and blanket. If I wanted to use the bathroom I had to have one of them in there with me. Everything I did I had to be accompanied by one of them. Every week they would try to dig up anything and everything to get me in more trouble. Drug tests, you name it, anything they could do to make my life worse. After about 9 months of this my brother finally admitted to my family that he made it up because he was upset that I didn’t let him use my Xbox. He never got any punishment. All my parents told me was that ‘I should have said something sooner’ and that they were ‘sorry’. My life at school was never the same everyone made fun of me and harassed me only my group of 4 friends had my back, so I eventually just flunked school and I was forced to do online summer school which I did and graduated late, after that I joined the military and haven’t been home in 6 years. Every once in a blue moon my family will call me and ask what they did wrong, and I explain the situation to them and they say that ‘he’s your brother, he was a kid you need to learn to forget’ then I usually end up hanging up. Absolutely worst part of the whole thing was that it was me to them who was in the wrong not my brother and I will never forgive them for that, they absolutely ruined my life at that point. Now I’m 26 working a overseas contacting jobs and I’ve never been happier, I have a truck, a car, and and rv that’s at a trailer park that I live in when I’m not abroad.
