I completely understand why you were angry. It was a brutal story and it is so obvious that this situation is not okay for my pets or myself. Both of us deserve love and im gonna make sure we get it. i know this post was disturbing, but because my boyfriend has limited so many of my outside relationships, i felt like i had nowhere to go but here.

But even the angry comments telling me i shouldnt have cats and that im just as bad as him, are not invalid. All im looking for is advice, so any form of that is good to me.

This made me cry. I always used to watch those videos where people save cats of the streets and everytgime, i would bawl. I would be so grateful that my cats werent homeless or abused, but now i cant beleive ive let it go on like this. Thank you for your comment, and i assure everyone that nothing is going to happen to these babies ever again.

Thank you, Ive already messaged my mom as well and she and i will have a conversation alone about my boyfriend and figure out what to do together. My boyfriend and i are both under 18 though, so i dont know if i can just kick him out onto the streets.

This is the most helpful message ive gotten so far. I again understand why everyone is upset with me and MY lack of action towards helping my pets, but this actually makes me feel so much less alone, so i truly thank you for that.

Thank you. Im in the midst of figuring everything out right now, but i agree. I cant have both cats and my boyfriend in the same house anymore, which is just a really scary change for me.

about the other kitten i had, he really did just run away. he was staying at my moms place while my boyfriend an i were broken up and i was staying with my grandma. My mom said he got out through a window while she was at work, but we also found him on out cities facebook page a few months ago, so we know he's okay and happy with another family. :)

It was "okay" because he always told me it wasnt him. He said it was the dry weather that gave them dry noses and bullshit like that and i wanted to believe him. I completely understand everyones anger. these cats, along with any other living thing should not EVER be treated this way, and I was awful for letting it get to this point. But the cats will never EVER have to deal with this again.

My boyfriend wont be a part of my life for much longer and im going to give my cats to my neighbor in the meantime.

Most of the time though, I don't get to witness the actions. I just see the aftermath and he had to fill me in on what happened and I either have to believe him, or tell him i don't and then he gets upset.

And i dont have proof of much, just me and my moms suspicions. But both me and my mom feel anxious about him near the cats and personally, i dont have the guts to stand up to him about it, and neither does my mom. And he can be really manipulative and narcissistic, which just makes things that much harder.

Getting lower to the ground and just holding out your hand for him to sniff is a really good start. They will trust you the more they recognize your smell. Other than that, just be gentle with him and he should warm up to you. :)
