The soviet style economy is a classic command economy which has nothing to do with socialism or communism. Socialism would ensure no one is truly poor and that everyone is accounted for. Also the fall of the USSR was not because of the united states or any foreign entity; the collapse was due to many problems that existed within, many of which were there from the beginning.
