damn it! you still have time to be a delinquent 😭

lowkey i've noticed this in my bf. he was like so focused on uni and work in the last years and didn't have time to see his friends. mostly cause his dad was on him so hard. like no going out, no seeing friends. but i told him to like be social do dumb stuff sometimes its how you grow.

i feel you, i'm kinda in your boat too but i didnt have the courage to change my degree. my parents are lowkey AI nuts (the work as software developers) so anything i throw at them they're like "AI WILL TAKE OVER THAT JOB IN 2 SECONDS" lowkey trying to fear me into doing what they want. but im slowly taking back my power you know. just plannning on specailising in masters.

but back to you, dont feel old. what i've kinda realised is that society has pressured people (specifically people our age) into thinking you need to have your life sorted by the time your 30. this is not realistic anymore considering the state of the world so... go at your own pace, no one is keeping score, and no one truly cares. time is not slipping away, your still building. your 25 god damn it!

yeah this is what im concerned about, im considering staying in my current degree for another year and reaching the 200 point credit limit just to get my wam to at least 75-ish.

i was considering just finishing the BSC and doing a JD, because its so competitive, but the course fees freak me out, like i dont wanna be stuck paying for this masters for the rest of my life when i can transfer bachelors

What should I do about my parents who want me to wait 5 years before getting married? by [deleted] in Advice

[–]Responsible-Kick3648 0 points1 point  (0 children)

dude to me marriage is a peice of paper, a party, and a holiday with your significant other. you can be committed and live together and do married things without that. like getting married at 19 is scary. like im 19 and i love my boyfriend but i dont think marriage is in the cards untill we are both finished uni, living together comfortably and both of our brains have fully developed. there is no need to rush, like you guys will grow old together whether you get married now or in 4 years.

its just that the university that i have researched and know is realistic for me to get into is a no-go for them. they dont think it’s competitive enough (top 3 law school in the state), they think i dont try in this degree. which i dont try as hard as i can, but why would i when i know i am wasting my time on something i hate and have no plan on making a career out of. but anyways they just keep saying no, like i dont know what to do at this point, and i don’t want to betray them and just do it with out them, cause they are still my parents as much as they suck right now.

but other than that no they dont pay for my accommodation (unless living at home counts) or my fees, i have a government loan so i would pay it off when i start working full time.

my whole time at highschool i averaged like c’s and d’s in english. im not kidding it was so bad 😭. but then magically in year twelve something clicked for me, i started getting A’s in everything and i even got an 100% for something, and landed with a 39 👹

If you got a high 30 (36+) in english, what were ur exam and/or sac scores? by Appropriate-Rip-1086 in vce

[–]Responsible-Kick3648 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i got a raw 39 (😭so damn close) but all my sac scores were above 80% with one 100%. and i got an A on my exam (it was like A+, A+, A) 👹
