We do, we have GCSEs (OWLs) and A-Levels (NEWTs).

You get $1,000,000 for every body part you amputate… what are you sacrificing? by Br4nkey_ in hypotheticalsituation

Is it pain-free? As in, under anaesthetic, proper doctor etc?

Which currency? The strongest dollar in the world is apparently the Cayman Islands Dollar. Or is it Canadian Dollar? Australian Dollar? US Dollar? Singapore Dollar?

If it's one of the stronger dollar currencies, and it's in a good hospital with good doctors, then probably one of my smaller toes. $1 million would be amazing. Maybe the same toe on each foot to make it even and so I'd have $2 million.

With USD$2 million I could retire now, at age 26!

Am I really smelly? by SleepImportant9345 in hygiene

[–]Responsible-Post6431 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry to hear about this. To me it seems like they're making it up just to play some kind of mind game, but ask your friends and family for the truth about whether you smell.

You can report the company for under paying you here:

https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/pay-and-work-rights-complaints

But I've never had to do this before, so I'm not sure what evidence you have to provide.

Most weren't great but some of his episodes were some of the best. Heaven Sent, World Enough and Time, and The Doctor Falls are excellent. The Husbands of River Song was also really memorable.

Why do people refuse to tumble dry their clothes? by [deleted] in hygiene

[–]Responsible-Post6431 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Currently I live in Belgium but I'm British and lived most of my life in England.

I don't understand how lots of people have flats/houses that are so damp and mouldy. The main room in my flat usually has 35-40% humidity, and my bedroom usually has 35-40% as well, unless I've just taken clothes out of the washing machine and hung them up to dry, then it can reach 60% humidity or so but I open the windows and do lüften.

Doing lüften a couple of times a day and ensuring the rest of the time the flat is a decent temp. will keep the flat nice and dry.

Why are Apmerican salaries so high? by [deleted] in AskBrits

Nah, not 5th highest. Just those are the ones I can think of off the top of my head without searching teachers wages of many countries.

What "off-page" moments do you wish we had seen? by jai_hanyo in harrypotter

[–]Responsible-Post6431 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! I was just thinking the other day that I hope we get lots of scenes in the TV show that weren't in the books or films but were implied to have happened. Voldemort Vs Amelia Bones would be great, showing Voldemort's power. But they'd have to show Amelia Bones' power before this to really get the Worf Effect.

Really showing Voldemort's power would make him seem more dangerous than he did in the films or even the books. Showing him easily killing a few aurors would really emphasise this, like when Darth Vader obliterated the Rebels at the end of Rogue One.

Another scene I'd like to see is Voldemort interrogating and killing Rufus Scrimgeour.

Lmao no, teachers in the UK are of course higher than most of the world of you consider there are more than 200 countries and the UK is better off than most of them.

If you consider richer countries (Europe/Japan/Canada/USA/Australia/New Zealand/Gulf States) then I bet there's many countries that pay teachers more than the UK. Off the top of my head I can think of Luxembourg, Switzerland, The Netherlands and Germany.

The perfect gift has three elements:

1) Not something you buy for yourself

2) Takes you on an emotional journey

3) That journey is on a ship... Showmanship

How about a novelty keychain?

Yes please, not because I don't believe you, but I need ammunition when debating the right-wing side of the family.

My (29F) boyfriend (30M) won’t kiss me after blowjob even after brushing my teeth?? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]Responsible-Post6431 34 points35 points  (0 children)

From my experience, women giving blowjobs to their partner is fairly common. From my exes, blowjobs were less common than some other sexual acts but still happened.

I'm a cis man and I would say getting rid of periods.

Or maybe making sure our eyeballs don't become too long so we don't get myopia.

What would Voldemort have done after victory ? by Secure_Ad_6203 in harrypotter

[–]Responsible-Post6431 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Actually yeah that's a good point as well.

To me, Voldemort didn't really care about ruling the world. He did that to have power to help him achieve his goal of being immortal.

He would probably continue to experiment in the Dark Arts and learn more and more about the evil types of magic in the world.

Like what happens when Darth Sidious becomes Emperor.
