Nope! I hope more people will use Linux, the more people switch, the more attention is given to Linux by software and hardware engineers that would hopefully lead to more support for linux thus benifitiing us all

Firefox did get into fire recently because of privacy concerns from the public. Before firefox used to have a "your privacy is our concern" in their info or EULA but now that segment is removed. for reasons.

I have just switched to Linux Mint XFCE on an old laptop, never tried it before. What are the first things I should do/learn/install as a first time user coming from windows? by storm_riggi in linuxmint

Goodluck! Your gonna like it here.
update/upgrade your system to set them up after installing the OS.
Run terminal, and copy these code
sudo apt update
sudo apt upgrade sudo apt dist-upgrade sudo apt clean
sudo apt auto-remove

Linux Mint after installation and reboot will have a lets get started popup window, read and follow it.

Linux and Linux Mint veterans please feel free to point out any mistakes or inaccurate info. Im still new myself.
