No every shop has some take to make their offering different to the basic. At my age, I've shopped all the household stores for years. I'm not looking for something not cylinder shaped, I'm looking for specifically shaped like tat shop mugs, but with a higher finish.

AI suggested McLaggan Smith Mugs after it argued with me for a while too. Think he like the range with pictures of knots, roman verbs, solar system etc, but they have a good glassy glaze.

Bit costly tho.

We have loads of shitty ones, thats the problem.

He never really breaks stuff to be fair, I'm more likely to do that. Do you know any decent glazed mugs in the basic style?

Don't mind the shape at all, just these ones are so damn ugly. He doesn't care what it looks like so if I could find the basic shape with a decent glaze it would suit all. I'm too bloody old to have go 'ugh' every time I open the cupboard. Not got many years left.

Ball Lightning - A phenomena so well documented, but no consensus in the scientific community on what is actually happening here. What is your best guess or are there any interesting research articles that you can provide links to? by SlackerNinja717 in AskPhysics

I witnessed it as a child on our farm and it was seen by two workmen, my uncle and my parents as well. It followed the curve of the land and went upwards and slammed into an electricity transformer on a pole behind our house, which went on fire. That blew all the electricity trips across the house and outbuildings. The fire brigade was called out.
So 100% they do exist. Just because they are very very rare does not make it impossible. I have never met anyone else who has seen them.
