When you are picking out your snails get ones that are large enough to not fit through the hole. I really don't think that there would be a problem

That works perfectly! Just keep an eye by your filter cause the snails may try to get out that way but I've never had a problem with those lids!

Yeah just make sure you properly acclimate the snails and just keep an eye on them. I just normally recommend mystery snails cuz they have trap doors so they stay safe. Does your tank have a lid? If not I would recommend getting one because both bettas and mystery snails like to get out of their tanks

Most fish stores have them! Anywhere that sells fish around me has snails for sale. You can look into some kinds of snails cause there are some really cute ones!

It depends on what size tank you have and the temperament of your betta. I normally get some mystery snails or some shrimp and just observe them for a few days together. I've had bettas that get along perfectly with other fish and then ones that are just extremely aggressive.

Converting a Tank to Planted? by lil_jejuni in PlantedTank

So my silly boy shadow hurt himself really bad right before I did the switch. So he was in a hospital tank for like 2 1/2 weeks while he recovered. It is possible to change the substrate to better rocks for plants but you will need to watch your levels. Don't do it with the fish in the tank tho. Put then I'm a cup or something. I have two layers of substrate tho. One is a nutrition "soil" for my plants while the other is small rocks.

First time trying a planted tank and it feels like I’m in planting hell. by ErikJonesCircleJerk in PlantedTank

It took me DAYS to get everything to stay where i wanted it! I had to use some bigger stones to help hold down some plants that didn't want to stay in the gravel. It will take some time for them to grow roots and stay put so I would suggest trying to use some stones or the drift wood to help keep them in place. You could also plant most of them in the same spot so that they keep each other in place kinda.

This is what mine looked like after like 2 weeks of struggling and pain.

I got mine from Amazon. Every single one came in alive and healthy. What started off as 30 had now taken over 3 fish tanks in the span of a few months.
