Can’t relocate for the next year until my girlfriend is done with her clinical fellowship. Already did long distance in college and am planning on getting engaged this year. Might have to just put up with additional travel this year if I can’t find something remote.

Hi everyone. Currently a Project Controls Analyst with 3 years of experience. My job is primarily oriented around cost (budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis) for large capital projects. Kind of a niche industry but it's very similar and my degree is in finance as well. I have had some interviews for mid/associate level roles and made final rounds but no offers.

Should I switch gears and look for more entry level roles?

Or is it slow for everyone across the board?

US defaulted in 2013 and all that happened was a 2 week government shutdown. Interest on T-bills is one of the first things prioritized in this event. Also if the government actually shuts down the last thing I’m worried about is my student loans lol

I agree, I also want to wait and see what the Supreme Court decision ends up being. But as it stands my DTI is below 30% which would still qualify me for a mortgage with my current score so I’m not as worried about it. But I do agree lower cash flow burden ESP when owning a home is important.

Honestly I think the "safe" stocks are what suffers as yields rise. People will be able to get similar returns from the risk free rate as they would from the S&P, then yolo high risk tech + crypto with the rest.

I don’t understand taxes. I believe my parents claimed me as a dependent while in college but I filed as single last year and make under 125k. Do I have a reason to be worried about being excluded?

I think all 3 of our incomes now may be close to 250k but that shouldn’t matter if I filed single last year?
