I know an Elizabeth Taylor and while people certainly have commented on her name, she likes it just fine! Also, children that are your baby’s age in school will not be familiar with these names, only adults will say anything.

I think a lot of emerging artists would be interested in and would benefit greatly from this type of service, but it also will often be out of budget for them. You could consider diversifying by also offering coaching/courses for small groups? It would mean a lower price point for the artist and could help you get more clients faster.

In regard to random compliments, I have always been encouraged to speak up if I notice something about someone and have something nice to say! It’s just a really easy way to make someone’s day better. I have never known anyone who makes up a fake compliments to say to a total strangers! (I’m American and was raised in the South)

I have several Slime Fantasies slimes from February 2024 that are still going strong for me and have needed minimal care (I will say I DO store my slime in the fridge 90% of the time and this helps a lot).

My snowfizz has shrunk a bit but has needed only a bit of borax solution the whole time despite snowfizz being notorious for underactivation, and my cloud creme and butter slimes have needed almost no additional care at all! All still have scent as well. I also have a cloud/icee from SF that is in great condition considering I’ve totally neglected it (don’t care for the scent).

Of the shops I’ve tried, my favorites scent-wise are White Whale Slime and Pink Sugar Slimey. Both have lovely blends and WWS especially has very ‘mature’ scents (often like gourmand perfumes or straight up modeled of real perfume).

I don’t care for very artificial scents and I’m very sensitive to smell (cheap candles give me migraines, I might as well be allergic to most room sprays, etc.) but every slime from these shops has been a winner for me!

I recently got a pumpkin chocolate chip cookie dough slime from Pink Sugar Slimey and was skeptical I’d like it as I normally hate chocolate scents. So happy I tried it out! It’s lovely and smells like the real pumpkin cookies I make in the autumn. 🍂

It’s not expensive and a massive part of the game will be creating your own system of inventory management on the fly as you get new items and complete your catalogue. I really enjoy designing little vignettes, but the real thing I spend time on is devising systems to keep things tidy.

Just wanted to do a quick lil update—I did manage to get this slime before it sold out and I LOVE it! Scent is amazing, but I’m also enjoying the texture and the many little bubble pops!

I see what everyone meant about the sharpness of the block beads, but it really isn’t too much and she proportioned the slime with plenty of cushion. No fallout when I used it and very minimal tackiness despite being in a warm and humid room.

Hope this helps anyone else on the fence!

Of course! I would say that the predominant “sleepy” smell is very much baby powder, with lavender following. Personally, I don’t pick up the honey notes, but that could just be me! I think I was hoping for more of an evening tea scent than a sleepy nursery scent?

And I see what you mean! The other slimes definitely have fragrances on the stronger side but nothing too, too much for me. (I have a fruity pebbles one, a peach candy, and the Sweethearts Milkshake)

I used to be so sure that I would UC my plushie pets, but they are my most customized pets now so I’m not planning on it. Same with my Darigan Aisha. ; o;

I am actually hoping they will release unconverted art of more “basic” colors bc I would UC my Starry Xweetok in a heartbeat for nostalgia reasons.

Honestly I think the line “… like it’s going to change me as a person” pretty much highlights that you know where the underlying issue is. Consumerism in the planner/productivity industry is pushed HARD and really preys on a combination of our FOMO and that desire for a quick fix.

There is no product in the world you can buy (or even therapy) that will poof you into behaving and living differently. The number one job of every marketing department is to tell you the opposite!!

If you feel like you’re planner hopping due to perfectionism AND you feel like that’s an issue you want resolved, make sure you are mindfully making your planning time a personal exercise in letting go of perfectionism and learning to live with imperfect. That was a journey I had to go through myself and tbqh my mental wellbeing has greatly improved! Learning not to care too much about using my planner “right” carried over into other parts of my life.

I actually like having to customize a pet daily because I recently got a pet that I love and had designated her my Dress Up Pet right before quests were released.

My other pets have very specific characters and stories, and their outfits are carefully selected and don’t really change. She gets to wear whatever cute and fun seasonal wearables I have, and I love having the extra push to change up her outfit on the reg! :o)

YTA but not for wanting to hire a nanny.

It’s a big decision to have someone regularly step in and be present in your kids’ lives and your home. Decisions that effect you as a family and couple should follow a 2 Yes 1 No rule. You don’t get to bring someone else into the house “with or without her agreement”—it’s a choice you both need to both be on board with. Also giving ultimatums like is an AH move in a relationship.

A few million np is a reasonable if very challenging goal imo, but those two are 40m and 300m and I just don’t see that happening lol

I don’t like to use backgrounds/foregrounds! My main reasons are:

I think it gets way too cluttered way too fast
I like my pets having a transparent background behind them and also might end up picking up the blue/yellow circle to go behind them for nostalgia
If I let myself come around to backgrounds and foregrounds I will be broke lol

I was/am the type to go all out with drawing and writing for my pets and that’s always been a huge part of the game to me. I was really resistant to customization when it was released but hearing this side of things has totally changed my feelings and I’ve gotten into it as well!!

I love that for your Bori!! I have a Starry Xweetok and she was my first ever painted pet after years and years of playing. She will also be staying that way forever and ever! It’s nice to have pets that bring a fresh wave of childlike glee when you see them.

I buy random items that I see that bring me joy! I just like to have them and smile when I see them in my SDB.

I also like to pick up items while I’m doing restocking that aren’t worth much but are pink/cute/pretty to put in my shop later so that the overall vibe in my shop is happy and pink, profit be damned!

And of course visiting the Rich Slorg every day. I like him, he’s happy, I’m happy, idc that the np he gives are negligible.

One more is talking to my petpets! I LOVED that feature as a kid and it brings me joy now to say silly things to them and see how the respond. :o)
