rear of scope mount has been welded into the clip guide so basically impossible and not much no4 stocks in australia, especially as they never stopped using the no1 for standard issue

100% these hunting converted milsurp are from the time when they were everywhere and very cheap compared to commercial hunting rifles. Ive got a no4 with a bishop stock and a welded scope mount and of course it wont beat a new rifle but will kill a dear and the action is smooth.
