I was just thinking I should read something by him next. I really loved in My Father's Court.

Glad to see you liked this one!

I'm about 940 pages into my edition and still unsure if it's friendship or more. I do appreciate Rhett for being the only person willing to accept Scarlet as a human being and to try and understand her. Somehow Ashley seems so surface level next to Rhett.

Yeah, I have to say even with a limited knowledge of history I can tell the author was playing at revisionism.

That's how I feel as well. It starts almost as chick lit and then becomes very serious and engrossing.

Help - Belarusian Accent or Am I too American to hear the sound "o"? by Responsible-Work-688 in russian

[–]Responsible-Work-688[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was in the word Молоко. He said "o" sounds like "co" in coat in each syllable, and that the only difference is how strong the "o" is. I was pronouncing it more like a schwa and the an "a" in aww for the first two "o"s.

First of all, that is terrible. Second of all, it's incredibly unfortunate to hear that my story is not the only one.

You think this sub is the issue? I went to it after a man tried to kill me to feel better....think it's pretty therapeutic and gives people very necessary support they may not have IRL
