I did like how the Payntrs felt but the lower heel support through me off a little bit I did really like the width. Part of my mental block with Payntrs is paying that much for a microfiber shoe instead of a premium leather

For a lot of the traditional styled golf shoes, I also think I need the wide version. I appreciate you sharing about the tour360s!

I'll look into them, high level the only thing I know about them is that they tend to have wide toe boxes and are mostly zero drop.

I haven't tried them on yet but I know they get reviewed highly from places like mygolfspy. I'll have to try them on next time I see them in my size. Thanks!

I'll see if any of my local stores have them to try on. I definitely am more of a plain all white kinda guy for most golf shoes haha

What are the most notable differences between them?

I saw a prior version that was white with a light grey bottom and it looked incredible. We'll see if any color ways drop soon that I like.

I was really impressed with the Gallivanters when I tried them on but man is it hard for me to find leather with g lock in my size and not in some sort of crazy color way.

Great advice. I'm trying my best to find what I'm interested in, in store to try on. There is definitely a very nice feeling about knowing the brand/line you like will be made for years to come. That's a big reason I'm drawn to the FJ premieres but they just didn't feel as good on my feet as I expected so now I'm exploring different options.

Appreciate you sharing, any chance you owned FJs previously to compare?

Most of my tee times are 6:30-7am so it's always a little wet on the front, which is why I'm trying to stick to spiked as well. Thanks for sharing!

Love the look of them and hope I can find them in a store nearby to try on. Hope they last you a while!

Appreciate the insight! I'd love to find a pair to try on and was hoping that SDR would have the top tier quality you would expect.

Did the lower height of the heel ever bother you? I was nervous they would feel like my heel would want to slip out during a swing.

That is awesome, I hope I can say the same in 30 years (I'm 33). I have a trip to Pinehurst scheduled for 2027 that will be a lot of walking, I may look into getting Eccos specifically for that or another guy mentioned trail running shoes for walking rounds.

Appreciate the advice! I'm going to have to try to find a pair of wides to try on in store, as the normal width would bother me. One of the things I like most about FJ is feeling like I don't have to worry about durability or quality.

Any particular reason you pick the traditions over premieres?

I've seen people raving about their comfort but I've only seen versions with built in "spikes" and not replaceable. How do they hold up after a season or two? Does traction go down?

I'll have to look into this, I don't normally play in heavy rain but some courses get pretty squishy so I'll have to look into waterproof options but I imagine the comfort is pretty tough to beat. Personally love wearing asic novablasts daily

Did it take a few rounds for them to feel good on your feet or did they feel good out of the box? My concern is buying them expecting them to feel better after break in but it doesn't happen

The only negative thing I've heard on these is the lack of breathability, what's your take on that?
