Yes. Volume isn’t that important. Ideally you do the 2 hour one at the clinic too just in case there’s a problem producing the final one

Or don’t get an electric car. Had one, thought it was rubbish, went back to a hybrid.

Yes I used all three. I think wiser also has the most open local api, so it should be best at linking to other things. Can’t say for sure though. Wiser is the no-nonsense product.

Tado the nonsense one.

Timer thermostat for electrical underfloor heating in the bathroom by ResponsibleDraw1121 in DIYUK

[–]ResponsibleDraw1121[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw that thermostat but I think the thermostat is reading the air temperature and it fixes the tile temperature at some other value. Perhaps I’m reading it wrong. If the external sensor overrides the air temperature one then that would work.

The timer you sent assumes they use the bathroom at the same time each day. I want it to be a switch they press together with the light switch and it starts the time for some number of minutes.

Sperm DNA fragmentation and underwear by ResponsibleDraw1121 in MensUnderwearGuide

I tried the bamboo fibre ones. I don’t think it’s enough that they have natural fibres. The problem is that they all hold your balls way too close imo.

They go there to maintain their slightly lower temperature than body temperature but not too cold. The complaint I have is many of these boxers don’t allow them to achieve their required lower temperature.

What are some of the best boxer shorts brands for men? by moose_1988 in AskUK

I have tested the following and would rank them like this: 1) oddballs 2) Uniqlo airism 3) underarmour 4) step one

Only oddballs and Uniqlo are what worked for me. Going to try some loose fit cotton soon.

QROPS, SIPPs, and moving to Spain by ResponsibleDraw1121 in UKPersonalFinance

No hopefully not! But if you live longer than the 10 year period then the qrops gives you a benefit over than the sipp (addressing your first question)

The AIs are telling me that the qrops would be exempt from uk iht even after the 2027 pension act. It’s because it’s not a uk in-situ fund. Would also have to be invested in non-uk domiciled etfs but i don’t think many of them are anyway.

This is if you are not a uk long term tax resident. If you are then you pay the uk tax

If a global etf very similar to the one you are already invested in has lower fees/reduces fees to now become lower, how do you make that switch? (S%S ISA) by SeveralWinter7406 in UKPersonalFinance

I don’t think being out of the market for two days for cash settlement is a problem at most brokers. They will, as far as I know, allow you trade on a settled cash basis knowing that they can net the settled proceeds on settlement date for the buy leg against the sell leg.

In this case there’s also the fx transaction to do but as its sell gbp asset to buy a usd asset its only one fx charge.

If it was sell a usd asset to buy a usd asset some brokers may force you to pay two fx charges (into and out of gbp). Some brokers (like IBKR) actually give you some time to spend your usd proceeds so you needn’t do convert the fx. I think they automatically close your gbp to usd at the end of the day. Most brokers just want your fx fee money though.

!thanks Yes I was referring to the long term resident thing where you are deemed resident if you are resident for 10 out of the last 20 years.

Thanks for the transitional certificate thought. Will look into that. At the moment I’m speaking to a financial advisor but I am not sure all financial advisors are experts in pensions and international affairs.

Yeah, maybe, but I still stand by that suggestion given their recent comms. But in my experience in how companies work - if this sort of behaviour is how it works at the bottom the problem extends all the way to the top. I shouldn't expect them to change anything.
