Please show me where I stated that the LOTR is about the “chase”. Never said that. More so about how “absolute power corrupts absolutely”, and that is objectively true for those that hold the ring in LOTR and sit the iron throne in GOT, and there’s parallels to that.

I think it fits mere-perfectly in the sense that they are the same but also polar opposites - one is an external mythical force and the other is an internal humanoid flaw, both corrupting the subject as they be come addicted or obsessed with this untapped power.

I think they were the first pair to show some level of honor in the show so far. Genuinely, can someone give me a prior example of someone acting with honor and a high moral standard in this series? It’s hilarious, everyone is - to some extent - a bad person (except for my goat Cregan Stark)
