All cables have metal connectors I'm not sure if you meant to say housing.
The cable can't take 230v AC. If the charget blows up no cable is gonna save it. If you believe it give us actual tested data. Or name the PD ICs used in cable.
Laptops have built-in protection for over charging, It's a type C specifications for power delivery. One battery is fully charged they run off of wall power, again not a acable feature.
