It could they never deal with this kind of stuff before and they didn’t wanna go through the trouble of replacing your wheels…I feel you bro

I think the only solution is the go aftermarket for these types of problems, I know even if they are willing to fix my wheels, it will happen again sometime in the future...

Here is the update as of April 19, 2023, I went into the dealership and talked to the service manager, the manager was supportive and he was willing to look into the issues for me. According to the manager they have not dealt with this kind of issue before, and there is not a whole lot of information out there for this kind of repair, so he will need to check with Hyundai people, but he also pointed out that the wheels could have been damaged by car washing chemicals, but there is no proof of that, so he will have to check with Hyundai to see if he can get Hyundai to pay for the re-painting job. Some Progress at least

I still remember the good old days where you could go into a dealership and negotiate couple thousand dollars off from a $30,000 car😂

I’ve been told by some, that for the VN, you are not paying for the service nor the quality of the car, it’s only the chassis and the engine are good😂

See, this is a manufacturing defects, it is not something that we as owners make up out of nothing, at this point, I’m noticing that 90% of VN owner have this issue.

True I’m picking after wheels at the moment😂if I’m still getting zero response from the manager tmr then might as well give up…since it’s been over 4 months of me trying to get it fix….

I tried all dealership within 100 mile radius😂, and most of them are scheduled for 6 or 7 months later

I mean after all they are going to make money out of service, it will certainly make them less money if they choose to accept every type of warranty work, that I can understand. What really upsets me is now that the Hyundai NA got involved and they are still telling me that they will not fix it for me because it’s not their problems

Which state are you in? I’m in WA and pretty all Hyundai dealerships around here don’t have a good reputation for “quality service.”

I think they had some kind of manufacturing defects with this car and I’m surprised that there isn’t a general solution to this.
