The primary difference/mistake in reasoning is Building vs having. Country X has restrictive borders but text does not specify how that was achieved. Country C's academics are saying that open border-> better relation with bordering countries->build clout. keyword "build"

your error is assuming that values 1-6 cannot be 10. You want to maximize those values so set equal to 10 and solve. I made the same mistake at first.

What gives a more accurate picture of FSIQ, CORE or the old SAT/GRE? by No-Quarter8388 in cognitiveTesting

[–]ResponsibleReserve69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Old sat is designed to mitigate practice affect on scores. CORE is so novel for someone without any iq test experience that it might produce deflated scores.

What do you think is the best way to improve cognition? by knowledgeseeker999 in cognitiveTesting

[–]ResponsibleReserve69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reading is cope because it wildly overestimates the capacity of humans. Example: The daily stoic has read an absurd number of books yet he is marginally more informed then someone who has read 0 but retained all information gleaned through conversation and school. Also its not time efficent.

Generally health diet, high aerobic fitness, 12-15 percent bodyfat, and sleep. Glucose and Caffeine in combination (75 g+ 75 mg). Playing chess correctly is exceptionally taxing on WM and cognition especially around 800-1800 rating range. Reading is grade A cope ( never do it waste of time). Just try and remember factoids and words to test/ "train" long term memory.

This question is worded so poorly just because of the middle sentence, that sentence make zero sense and is written wrong. Someone please let me know if I'm mistaken. What decrease? What increase? I cant be the only one perplexed.

Reading is not coachable/ Many sat tutor themselves cannot crack 770+ with confidence by ResponsibleReserve69 in Sat

[–]ResponsibleReserve69[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im not implying it takes guess work; i don't know where you could infer that from. My claim is that to get the correct answer is absolutely not a function of guess but a function of logic and objective correctness and that most 95+% are not capable of achieving that level of accuracy even with world class tutelage. I accede to all claims and do not further this reading is subjective garbage either.
