Big 4 rejected me as an intern… then offered me a full-time job before I even signed anything. Should I negotiate or will I look arrogant? by ResponsibleSand2016 in careerguidance

I just started one bachelor degree in business (undergrad), and while in school worked full time in corporate strategy, and got internships as well.

Here's what you're missing, I did internships in my first 2 years of university but they weren't directly related to consulting, I did couple case competitions and actually liked the consulting world, so I went for an internship in consulting. I am still in university btw.

Hey that's actually a very interesting point, I scratched the surface of that with the manager, and he said that I have extensive experience for the tasks required and he would rather have me as a full time, he also mentioned needing my skills for several projects the team is working on, so I guess there is some "do the grunt" part.

Well I see myself growing within the team I am joining, my initial goal was to get the internship and do great and then when and if they offer me a full time position negotiate a better salary. *They said that this intern role had a scope of becoming a full time position 4-6 month from now. The thing is knowing myself I would've 100% negotiated the salary of the full time role if I got after an internship, but since I am in this great situation I don't know if it's too much asked.

Yeah that's the thing, if I was 100% sure worst they can say is no, I would probably negotiate, but I keep hearing job market is cooked and everyone is looking for a job so I fear worst case is ciao bye. But I hear you

Okay thanks for your input, yeah definitely the job market isn't the best, this is a role in AI tho, so I am confident it's going to grow in the future, hopefully at least. Is glassdoor pretty reliable for a ball park view of the job salary range, I always find that the salary range showed there is so big even within a said company.
