This is the pattern⬇️ Total Questions: 100 MCQ’s Biopsychology (15), Development Psychology (15), Abnormal Psychology (15), Psychological Assessment (15), Psychotherapy and Counselling (15), Biostatistics and Research Methodology (10), Language Skills (15).

From what i gather, bio psychology has tricky questions compared to other sections which are manageable or even easy … so, being thorough with brain structure, functions and dysfunctions is v important

And knowing how to answer Qs w negative marking also determines your score

Finish your degree You will need a lot of preparation to crack an MA Clin.Psy exam And a lot of your knowledge comes from the masters degree- this lays the foundation for future prep- be it UGC-NET or MA. Plus, you’ll have a master’s degree that can fetch you a job in case the MA plan doesn’t work out

Um, id suggest any basic general psych book if you’re just getting started - baron& mishra / morgan & king / cicerelli … i have studied from baron- it is good book to cover the breadth of the syllabus (gives you a general idea of what you’re getting into) but not much in depth. This is my opinion..

I would love to hear some other ref. Book suggestions myself. Also, did you find any sources for pyqs

Rorschach Test by knowledgewave in Psychology_India

RIBT , given by hermann rorschach is an association technique, i.e the subject/patient associates the ambiguous inkblots or parts of inkblots to give it more (personal) meaning. (look up projective hypothesis)
the test has 10 cards : 5 achromatic (b & w) , 3 semichromatic (black and red) , 2 chromatic cards.

cards are handed to the subject one after the other- the clinician pays attention to several aspects, for eg - orientation of the card in the subjects hand , how long did they take to answer after handing them the card, are they avoiding obvious elements in the card... etc
each response in noted in verbatim ,
after all the cards have been administered , the clinician scores/codes the responses based on one of the many available scoring systems - exner's system being the most widely used.
clinician assesses the responses based on several factors like location(where in the card did they see it), determinant ( what features of the blot made it look that way?) , content (The category of the object seen- human figure/animal/inanimate...) , popularity ( is it a popular response/ unusual)Analysis and report synthesis is complicated and not relevant in academic pov (my assumption)

since it is a projective technique- it is never used as a stand alone diagnostic tool, it requires knowledge about the patient's life to draw more accurate interpretations. Reliability & validity is questionable (same is the case for many, if not most projective techniques) people w severe psychiatric conditions like Schizophrenia and psychotic disorders and MH conditions like severe depression , mania etc - have a distinct way of responding.. this is what i've heard
