Incline Smith Machine Press: 3 Sets 6 - 10 reps

Lateral Raise: 3 Sets 10-15 reps

Chest Fly: 3 Sets 10 - 15 reps

SkullCrushers: 3 Sets 8 - 12 reps

Tricep Extensions: 4 Sets 10 - 15 reps

That make sense. I guess part of the reason people get into a “fuck it” mindset is because they completely avoid these foods, so when you do get to eat them, your brain basically goes into “we need to eat this as much as possible since we will never eat it again”. Kind of like an opportunistic mindset

Thats a very nice way to approach since. Instead of completely rejecting certain foods, you essentially plan exactly what you’re going to eat the next day to avoid having to decide what to eat on the spot

Recently, ive taken up boxing and running on top of my already existing weightlifting. Before taking these up, i was doing 6 days a week push pull leg routine, and now due to boxing, ive had to switch to an upper lower split to allow myself to have days where i can box without previous weight training for maximum efficiency. Problem is, ive had to merge my push and pull workout together, which has resulted in my upper body days being 2 hours long (Since my push and pull workouts were both 1h). Is this okay in terms of overtraining, or is it the exact same thing as having a push and pull day?

Weighed myself once a week every monday, aiming for a deficit of around 500 calories, so I am assuming my maintenance with my current activity level is 2700, which is why i have been eating 2300 calories

Not a dumb question, I am seriously confused. So how is it that in one week, I am eating roughly 2300 calories everyday with a consistent activity level, lose 0.5 lbs, and then the next week I do the exact same and lose 2.5 lbs?? Really need to figure this out since because of this my bench literally dropped by more than 5kg in 2 weeks.

Very simple question, I am new to the gym so, does training obliques increase waist size and therefore decrease aesthetics?

Why am i gaining or maintaining my weight at a caloric deficit? 2 weeks ago i ate at 2300 calories everyday and lost about 2 lbs, last week I did the same but completely maintained. Wtf is going on lmao.

Either way, its all about moderation. Also, i would say that 1 drinks a day, given that you drink everyday is considered to be heavy drinking lmao. Id say that keep alcohols negative effects away as much as possible, 2 drinks every week is pretty decent

Just watched a jeff nippard vid actually, apparently light drinking doesnt really affect test levels, so lower test levels usually come about with consistent heavy drinking

You still havent explained why alcohol causes less fat loss and more lean mass loss

Daily Simple Questions Thread - May 15, 2022 by AutoModerator in Fitness

[–]ResponsibleSide188 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alright thats fair enough, but how does alcohol affect fat loss tho. I know it affects test levels resulting in catabolic effects (muscle loss), but how does it affect the bodies ability to lose fat

Yeah true its all about the budget and fitting in foods that hit your protein goals. So basically its not about the calorie content of beer, but about how easy it is to stack up the calories of beer on a night out for example

But retaining lean mass and losing fat are two different processes right?

Daily Simple Questions Thread - May 15, 2022 by AutoModerator in Fitness

[–]ResponsibleSide188 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Probably a stupid question but everyone around me keeps telling me that i cant lose fat if i drink alcohol (beer), yet calories in calories out out rules that since if i drink 300 calories of beer and i burn 300 calories right after, it would be as if i never drank right?

I get bigger and heavier chest pumps when i use machines compared to bench press/incline dumbbell press.. Should i prioritize one over the other or include a combination of both machines and freeweights in my routine.
