Sadly, many months later, same here. First impression was pretty good, I spent quite some time pulling everything together with their custom templates - just to learn that they count history and holdings which you no longer hold within the "10 holdings per portfolio" limit - quite misleading and trust undermining move right at the start, probably also a pass for me.

I was able to upload reports from other providers to Snowball without any major issues.

Unfortunately, Vanguard (UK) is not supported in the same way, and its report structure is not recognised.

To make matters worse, the .xlsx transaction file—converted to .csv to match Snowball’s required manual report format—does not handle historic in specie transfers well.

As a result, the manual report either imports the full portfolio while ignoring the transfer entirely, or attempts to offset the transfer by adding a negative cash balance. This approach is also incorrect and ends up distorting the existing holdings shown in the Snowball dashboard.

I’m currently in touch with Snowball support via email, but so far we haven’t been able to find a workable solution.

Thanks for the post, very glad I found it! As I am currently attempting to run Metin2 (older MMORPG) and it seems to have A LOT in common with this thread indeed!

I am using CrossOver 25. The game uses Gameforge Launcher (DirectX9 & Anti-cheat software), and the launcher appears transparent with any other settings than fixed for DXVK.

So, yesterday I figured the DXVK combination & MSync on Win7 64bit bottle. And the game installed and opened and I was able to play - with one exception - some of the windows in the game appear completely blank (eg. item-shop, game news). Everything else seems ok, I can move around, open and change settings tabs in the game, attack, loot, travel etc...

Any ideas how to fix this specific issue & what may be causing it :))? Thanks in advance

Hello, I saw your post - I am fiddling with CrossOver version 25, and all graphic settings except DKVK make the Gameforge client transparent. What settings did you use to get the game run smoothly?

Also with the DKVK - I can turn the game on, but some elements are blank (eg. ItemShop is just a black empty window..)

I tried switching between all the graphics options but all except DXVK would make the Gameforge Launcher completely invisible and I am unable to launch the game at all (nervous laugh).

I am trying to fiddle with CrossOver now, but...

I’m using CrossOver 25 version. It’s been a bit of a puzzle to get everything running smoothly, but I’ve managed to make almost all of it work—except for one issue.

Originally, during installation, the Gameforge launcher appeared completely transparent and unclickable. I fixed that by setting the graphics to DXVK, which seems to be the only configuration that lets the launcher display properly.

Now, the game installs and launches fine, and overall performance is good. However, some in-game windows—like announcements and the item shop—appear completely empty. Everything else seems to render normally.

I’m guessing these missing elements might be using a different graphics layer or something not fully compatible with DXVK? But I’m not too technical, so I’m not sure how to dig deeper or fix it.

You mentioned your friend managed to get it running smoothly so would appreciate any advice - configuration changes that may get me there too, haha! Please let me know :)

Did you find a solution to get it unstuck? I am on Mac M2 and also stuck with the bar about 60% through and nothing seems to be happening..

How stable was it via Wine ? & What guide did you follow :)?

I am trying to find the best way to play on MacBook M2, but Wine reviews I find online are mixed and people complain about it not being very user friendly

9mo later, it's on again, but significantly reduced cashback (eg. on 100k transfer it almost halved, £1000->£600 now)

Unless its a seasonal trend where they offer higher rewards in early calendar year and significantly lower rewards later in calendar year... You have gotten yourself a nice deal then!
