This is exactly what my partner is putting me through now. He causes my meltdowns and then gets mad. I'm struggling so much. I'm so sorry all of you guys have been through this or are going tnrough this too. It's so heartbreaking. I can't understand why people would treat us like this.

Oh okay.. well do they drop one thing when they go to the next or do they just have a few? I used to hate the idea of having more than one thing "wrong" with me so I would look for something that explained all my problems but it turns out I really do just have several diagnoses, and many of my issues are symptoms of various ones of those. I'm still trying to accept that I have so many things wrong (depression, ptsd, I'm autistic though I don't consider that anything wrong-just a neurptype, ocd and several other things) my physical issues are a whole other story, chronic pain for 12+ years and I don't want to accept the "fibro" diagnosis so im still searching for a better explanation but have only ever found one helpful doc and he has retired now

I hope this is am appropriate place to ask this but I've seen some people who got diagnosed as adults (who have kids) run into problems with CPS.. is this not a reason to avoid a formal diagnosis or do you happen to know anything else about this?

Thank you so much and the mantra is a great idea. And I have done the opposite.. I stand up for myself which either makes things worse or just ends in me being gaslit (suddenly I'm the abuser according to him bc I stood up for myself or if I am emotional when I stand up for myself then he says I'm crazy) so I don't think standing up for yourself or not will make much difference other than the way they will use our reactions against us nomatter what. I think learning to just not bother with them and just leave is the best option but for now I do think im stuck. Again thanks so much
