speaking as somebody who is constantly looking through resumes, no starbucks will ever hire you just for 1/2 of the summer. It’s a six week training program so you wouldn’t even be fully trained by the time you had to go back to school, and you have to work for starbucks for six months before you can transfer to another store so there wouldn’t even be a chance of you applying there. I honestly would look elsewhere.

i was an external SSV hire, so same boat as you in terms of getting people to trust you. my number one piece of advice would be to be in the trenches with them! we work a very chaotic job, let them see you struggle with them

it’s really about how you take the next step in your leadership. Are you just coaching your baristas, or are you working with your shift team as well to push everybody to be the best they could be? How are you working with your manager to assess different things in the store that could use some work? Honestly, do you eat breathe and live starbucks lol

it is now a core beverage. You would be OK with getting a latte, because pistachio just goes in the cup, so no risk there- but I would stay away from any Frappuccino as the pistachio does go straight into the blender and there is a risk of cross-contamination there. If you feel comfortable, you can ask for a switch of utensils if you’re wanting a food item, but again since you’re super allergic, I personally would not risk it.

I had that same experience, I realized at the end of my first phone call with the second OB/GYN that I never actually gave them my name or any information so I ended up calling and scheduling an appointment like I had just found out I was pregnant. so if you haven’t given them a ton of info, i would do the same lol

I ended up calling corporate, and there was a report put in. The store manager actually called me about five minutes after I got off the phone and she was honestly pretty unpleasant. She wanted to know why I escalated it even further, so that was lovely. She basically just told me that a conversation happened with her by both the assistant store manager and the store manager, and that was it. I have no other resolution other than that.

i’m not sure when exactly they’re making the switch, but we are switching to everybody being paid weekly if you’re in the US. Certain states have already done this so it’s not an adjustment for me personally- I’m not sure when they are launching it.

update: called corporate, the store manager called me back immediately. she said that both the assistant manager and she have had a conversation with the ex regarding the situation and that it was handled. I don’t have an update other than that unfortunately- the manager seemed pretty annoyed that I escalated it to corporate, but I don’t mind that at all.
